  • I'm not very techy - is this easy to DIY install? Is there a guide of some sort? Thanks

  • Yes not that hard to be honest. I had it installed on my Impreza 2011 with no issues, just a tip however; run the cable from the camera to the power source not the other way around, learned the hard way haha

    • Did you hardwire?

  • I've got the B1W and have an issue I can't seem to get any feedback on, so hopefully some other owners can chime in here.

Once the video is downloaded to your phone via the BlueSkySea app (which saves it into your native iPhone camera roll), I cannot then send the video via SMS or iMessage. It just basically times out sending the message and then says message send failure. I have tried this with a short video (4 seconds long) also

Do other users have the same issue ?

    • You can't send video via sms/mms. Correct me if I'm wrong.

      • Prob because it is in a non-Apple supported format.

        Shoulda bought an Android :D

        • Nah, the vid file size is prolly too big.

          https://m.gsmarena.com/glossary.php3?term=mms

          600kb limit.

But yeah, upgrade to Android pls. :D

        • The file format is .mov

iMessage can send huge files, I've sent a 3 minute video taken with the iPhone.

I attempted to send a 4 second dashcam video (6.5mb) and same problem

I've tried using Google Photos to choose and send the video via message also, google photos errors the moment this is attempted. It does not get to the stage of letting you hit send or choosing a recipient.

I suspect its the way BlueSkySea encode the videos in .mov format, and Apple & Google Photos do not fly with it.
