    I'm seeing S10E as $1079.10
    S10 $1214.10
    S10+ $1664.10.

Maybe different price for each partner?

    • +3

I'm in Government and they're only doing 10%

Other partners (like NAB) usually do more (eg. 20%)

  • Wow! 1TB for a phone. Does this mean the phone has to be kept and used for the rest of its life (to get its worth) ? No more changing phones every year or two I guess.

    • -5

      Joogle.com dexpad

    • Could it be because Samsung manuctures flash memory, but not cloud storage?
Personally I'd rather keep my photos off my phone

      • +2

My photos sync to Google photos. It's not even that amazing because it's been happening for years

    • +15

Considering for a lot of people their phones have taken over from laptops as their main device for both work and private use, having 1TB doesn't seem so crazy. Especially with how large the S10 is, I can see people loading it up with movies, TV shows, music, to the same extent they do with laptops or tablets.

      • +2

Don't know why you were downvoted, so here's an upvote

      • -4

But almost everything is cloud hosted now.. I honestly don't even know what's using local storage on my phone - apps?? Cache??? 😂

        • +4

Eugh. I evidently don't have as much faith in my mobile provider's 4G network as you do. I'd rely on the Cloud as for backups, but certainly would not want to be accessing it for things I'd need daily, and also not for large media files.

Again, good comparisons I think are laptops and tablets used as media consumption devices and (very light) productivity devices.

          • +1

@HighAndDry: That’s a shame, I guess?? I only use cloud/streaming services for files, music, tv, movies. Don’t even half fill a 64GB phone. Why someone needs a 1TB is beyond me.

            • @zqipz:

I only use cloud/streaming services for files, music, tv, movies.

I'm probably (too) old-school - grew up when you couldn't rely on speed or uptime of internet connections. Makes me want to keep things local as much as I can.

              • +1

@HighAndDry: My idea of backup & recovery was getting fresh HDDs every few years (and I work in IT). Now I don’t need to worry about it. O365 1TB OneDrive for 6 ppl. I actually turn off my home PC now when not in use…

                • @zqipz: Oh yeah, the Cloud is amazing for backup and recovery. Just (to me) not for anything 'time-sensitive', defined every expansively to include things like - 'I want to watch this movie on my commute that has spotty 4G reception'.

      • 128 or 512 GB is more than enough when you have a memory card slot which makes it way cheaper.

    • and u can expand with extra 512 gb :)

    • the battery will wear out just like any other phone. these are not built to last.

  • +4

Pricing is disappointing for EPP considering the Galaxy Watch discount previously (that I bought - not a huge fan of the watch after using it for awhile…haha)

    • +1

      Dont like the watch either!!!

      • I barely use it to do anything, but find battery is basically gone by end of 3 days.

        • The app ecosystem is terrible. I'll skip all smart watches now until someone makes a decent Android wear watch. LG watch is half baked. Sad to think Fossil prob has the most decent Android watches at the moment

          • @Sammyboy: Have you checked out Ticwatch? I like the features they advertise so far with a good price point.

            • @SomeBooy: Seems okay but it's their first Gen for Android wear. Will wait see what their next gen is like

              • @Sammyboy: Next generations are almost always better ey! Some of the ticwatches are pretty new with no release dates for later versions. Don't know if I should wait or not! ahaha

    • Can I ask what about it that you don't like? Looking for some smart watches and I have the Galaxy Watch on the list but waiting for a good deal

      • +1

No native app for WhatsApp, WeChat. It notifies you but to reply you have to use the phone. It's not looking like support is coming anytime soon either. Besides all the native Samsung apps included every other app out there costs something. There isn't even a native remote camera function to control the phone camera which even some of the hybrid phones have. You have to buy some crappy half working app for that. The watch itself is pretty good quality. Luckily I managed to get it in that Samsung watch deal before it got pulled. Definitely not worth more than 250

        • Thanks for the reply! It seems like their ecosystem is really restricted and I'm surprised that you have to use your phone to reply! I thought it was standard with most smart watches to reply by a small keyboard or speech to text. But sounds like it won't be worth waiting for a deal then!

          • @SomeBooy: If you just use text and Facebook messenger u will be fine. Any other messaging system like WeChat, WhatsApp, line etc forget using the Samsung Tizen watches. Those companies doesn't seem interested in making an app for Tizen. Stupid as that will exclude a majority of the Asian countries who love their messaging apps.

I can reply WhatsApp messages on my S3 Frontier via voice, tiny keyboard, or preset messages.

      • +1

I have the S3 Frontier; Its a good watch (I paid $300 for it). It can do most things well, and some things decently. Some of things it can do well include: Payments, fitness, style, functionality and ease of use. The lacking side of things include support of apps. But I'm not one to have a phone call over my watch, or reply to a text on the tiny screen. I prefer the looks above all else, and the fact that I can go into the shops to buy some bread without anything but my watch is a bonus too!

is there any way to get around not being a legitimate employee of a corporate partner?
any cheeky ozbargainers out there figured out a way? cheers

    • +1

You save less than a $100 and dont get earbuds from the regular deals so far (Galaxy Buds pre-order offer not available on Enhanced Partnership Program)
Why would you want this deal? Its worse.

      • +4

This is still better than buying regular deal.
        S10+ 512GB: $1479.20 (save $369.80 from RRP $1849)
        S10+ 1TB: $1919.20 (save $479.80 from RRP $2399)
        Galaxy Buds is $249 RRP

How is this not a saving?

        • My bad, when going off the EDU pricing one, it also doesnt include the Galaxy Buds - so deal is a little better.
Still not as good as I expected though :(
Now waiting for the plan phone bundles to come out….not at $100 a month though haha

    • +1

If you Wait 2 months and they will be sub $1000 anyways. Probbaly $850 grey

      • check the price for Galaxy 9, it is not even $850 yet

    • You could get a legitimate employee of a corporate partner (like me) to buy it for your and ship it to your address in your name

  • +2

A little disappointing considering the EPP for alot of corporate partners (I was at Vodafone) have been consistently 20-30% and they always included the pre order bonus e.g. VR gear or the Samsung wireless charger. But a deal better than normal retail nonetheless, given that those earbuds will never be worth $249 and will be getting resold for I'd say max $100-$150 at FIRST before dropping down in price very fast. Could be worth buying just the phone with the EPP discount, and then waiting to purchase from a reseller at a later date.

S10e absolutely destroys the XR in the display alone.

Still can't take Apple seriously putting an LCD display in their Xr.

    • +5

Can’t take Apple seriously for putting a Samsung screen in their other phones either 😀

      • +1

Why not? Samsung are the best screen makers. Plus it takes billions to establish a factory that make screen technology. Apple don't have the expertise to do that.

        • My point exactly about Apple, for all their BS about their superior 'experience' they go and use their biggest rival's hardware. Win for Samsung.

  • how much is the fold?

    • +2

Not for sale yet, but it's USD$1950 which will probably be around AUD$3k

    • Not out until end of April and I believe they mentioned over $2,000

    • gsmarena has listed it as 2000 Euro, so expect price more than AUD $3100

    • $3000 for a thick brick.

  • +1

and my laptop still has 3 gb ram and 256 hhd :'(

    • +1

      And also more productive

      • +9

        With 3gb ram? Doubtful…. LOL

  • +8

How is this post not labelled targeted?

  • Any deal on Galaxy fold?

    • +1

I wouldnt get a first Gen phone on release, they are always riddled with bugs and issues that the users will be stuck with. Given the huge price tag, it is better to wait.

  • +3

Pretty average discount this year sadly

  • +2

how much is the s10+ 128GB?

    • +1

      It is 1199.20.
The price for the 128gb only appears on certain colours

  • +1

Save your money. Wait for Samsung F (fold)

At least its an erm renewed concept…

I already can see the return of the flip phones and the matrix ejects phone models coming…..

    • The Fold starts from US$1980, doubt this price point will attract the average OzBargainer.

      • +3

ozB is about value and savings, not the expense.

        • And there isn't a whole lot of value in paying an extra $1500 AUD for a folding phone.

        • I see your point, but I have a hard time grasping the price point (which I think has to do with being a first gen foldable display, so all the years of research have to be paid for). For this price, you can grab an S10 and an ipad pro. So you're getting a whole lot more for your money.

          • @maburu1: Good luck putting the iPad in your pocket. This is the whole point of foldable phone big screen can be compact.

    • If you are comfortable having a brick of 17mm in your pocket, go for it.

  • +3

cant seem to see discount for telstra

    • They might be wanting to push the 5G version.

    • +1

Yeah…checked it few hrs ago…and again after this deal. Nothing there on Samsung Telstra portal.

      • Oh, so it isn't just me. I've been checking the Telstra Portal all day and thought I didn't set up the account correctly.

  • I just want the headphones

  • Are all EPP companies getting the same discount? Governemnt is only 10%, i wonder what the others are

    • +1

      20% here - non government

      • Have a friend who works at ANZ but don't want to put him through the sign up process if it's just the same 10% I get in the end

        • +1

Just checked mine and it's 20%, strong chance they are the same

        • +1

Confirmed, ANZ is 20% as well.

  • You can also get discounted prices via the Samsung Education Store.
Obviously you need a student email address to do this.

  • Apparently you can get 6% back with earbuds if you buy from Amazon Au with shop back. How it works, or how long it takes I have no idea

  • So am I correct in my assumption that this phone is not 5G?? I was looking foward to this phone and maybe I should not have just assumed it will be 5G, everything I am reading indicates to me this phone is not 5G?

    Can anyone confirm.

When chatting to Samsung online they said they dont have this information. Which to me is either a slack consultant, or a rouge to sell more phones cause people like myself are holding off until 5g

    • Correct. The 5G model will only be available through Telstra later this year. All the current models run on 4G network.
The 5G version will also be higher spec than the others.
If you want to do some further reading - https://www.cnet.com/news/samsung-galaxy-s10-plus-s10e-s10-5…

      • I'm curious to know if that also includes S10+ purchased outright from JB HIFI? as it's still a telstra phone etc.

    • from what i've read online, you'll need to get it from Telstra: https://www.gizmodo.com.au/2019/02/surprise-samsung-galaxy-s…

      • +1

I got a text from Telstra and they will exchange the 4G and replace with 5G when its out

The new Samsung Galaxy S10+ is coming. Don't miss out, pre-order yours today on a great value plan with Australia's best mobile network. Plus, enjoy another upgrade to the 5G model later this year when you return your S10+ in good working order and continue your plan. Only with Telstra. Pre-order now: http://tel.st/preordersx or call 1800332354 Opt out: 1800039059

    • Thanks all, looks like ill be holding off! will not go on a plan with Telstra

      • -4

5G model now is useless anyways. There won’t be viable 5g network in all major Aussie cities for some time yet. And even then Telstra and others will improve current 4g network to be close to 5g speeds anyways.

      • Interesting though, if you get the 128GB version from Telstra. When the 5G version comes out, they will replace it with the 256GB version.

From reports the S10+ 5G will be:
It will have 8GB RAM, 256GB storage and a 4,500 battery, as well as a triple-camera rear setup (12MP telephoto, 12MP wide-angle and 16MP) and dual 10MP/3D depth lenses at the front.

  • -4

Is this a bargain or an advertisement?

    • +6

can you find 20% off somewhere else?

  • +1

How come this deal and Samsung watch deal are allowed but not the 35% off S9/Note9 through EPP?

  • Fold is cool but who asked for a $3k Foldable tablet phone?

  • Would the tax invoice be dated when it ships or when you first order it? Just asking for TRS purposes.

    • Just ordered mine. The tax invoice gets issued straight away and dated the day you first order it.

It also says "shipped 7 March" though.

      • Can I ask if your invoice says somewhere that it is ordered through the Samsung Enhances Partner program? Not sure if that will affect the Price Protection policy for my card

        • +1

Doesn't say Samsung Enhances Partner program anywhere mate
