  • I have 3 link 10s, 3 link 20s and a link 300. I reckon they are awesome, especially at this price. AMA (other than how did I get mine for almost free!)

      That’s alot of links

    • Can you configure them, or and linked app on them to stream music from a NAS unit? SMB or DLNA protocols?

      • You cast to them, effectively the same as chromecast audio. So for DLNA you can use things like Plex to cast to one or many of them.

        • OK, so they are a DLNA stream receiver, but can't be a DLNA host.

Mrs Pax digitised all our CDs to our NAS, and I don't think Plex runs on our Synology 218.

          • @pax: No, it can't act as a DLNA host. Just by the nature of the way they work, I doubt this functionality would be added in the future.

    • I'd read somewhere that the startup time of the Link 10's (and the battery life) was awful (but the Link 20's were ok) - can you confirm?

      • Almost all of my experience with then is streaming music from Google play music and some home automation. But playing music at around 80% volume, I think you'd get about 5-7 hours from the link 10, and 7-10 hours from the link 20.

Sorry, missed your startup question. On average, they would be about 50 to 60 seconds to start up connect to wifi and be ready to go. I have all but 2 of mine permanently on so it doesn't bother me, but I guess it depends on how you're planning to use them as to how much of a big deal the startup delay is to you.

  • Is click and collect not available on this one day sale? Its having issues and I dont want to checkout without having a store to collect from

    • It is working for me.

  • Thank you for putting the links in the description.

The go to deal link has all the items. I didn't have time to paste all separately.

Thanks so much, I've been looking at the JBL Link View for a few weeks and finally got one for a really nice price!

  • I got the Link 300 for $177 a month ago. The sound quality is great - way better than a Google Home. More power and more clarity.

If only the link 500 was available. I'm patiently holding out for the link bar as well. Hopefully it gets released soon

  • I have the Link 10, great speaker.I use googleplay music, everyone is amazed that they can push the button on top and say a song and it plays it (no need to say "Hey google"). They call it my magic speaker. The batter life is about 5hrs but i normally have it plugged in when having a party.

  • Purchased a Google Home Hub for the kitchen a few weeks ago and absolutely love it EXCEPT for the sound so I've been waiting for a discount of the Link View since. Now the hub can go beside the bed and I can listen to music in the kitchen again.

  • Do you think these are better then the bose or sonos variants?

    • Not from experience but with respect to Sonos, the reviews suggest the sound of JBL isn't quite as good, but Sonos is more expensive and only has Alexa with Google assistant long promised but still not delivered. Haven't investigated for Bose.
