      • Already bought two i5 9th gen from your shop the last sale! Pretty much my 2 main computers and 2 media centres will be 80% supplied by your store lol Just waiting on the i3 for the 2 media centres (bought 2 cougar qbx from you for that).

  • Rep any chance you can do the D-Link DIR-878 at a good price. Previous best price was $129 from Wireless1 and it sold in 100s, may be get a good price of this or the DIR-882 on eBay. Would be obliged.
Also how about the new Adata SX8200 Pro 1TB, PCCG has it for $279

    • No stock on the DIR-878 at the moment, though we do have a small batch on order. We don't sell Dlink in volume, though have extended the range we carry from them in recent months and may look at some volume deals and lower pricing in the future. I have always liked the brand, but its not realistic to sell everything in the volumes needed to get the best price, and for now, they are not a focus.

As for Adata, not a major brand and not one where we stock many of their models. They do have a few interesting and good value products, but particularly for rapidly developing technologies like SSDs, we tend to focus on the tier one brands.

  • Looking for a laptop to do a bit of everything, but mostly just a bit of gaming when I'm traveling, nothing too crazy, budget is around $1500, could prob stretch it out for something like a 8th Gen and 1060 gtx tho. Any ideas?

Used to always vouch for these guys, but i dunno, i'm hearing many price jacking stories above.
And the one item i've had on follow for months now, the DS918, mysteriously jumped in price about 10% last week to the highest they have ever sold it for over the past 4 months.
And i can't believe the supplier has raised the cost on these considering they are about to made redundant by the DS1019.

    Pass.

  • Looking at getting a new TV. Does anyone know how pickup with videopro works? Just says "Item location: Queensland, Australia".

But no options for postcode etc like other picked up items on ebay.

    • Why don't you message them…

      • Because they would likely take days to respond? I'm sure a ozbargainer has done pickup on ebay with them before.

        • It's an Aussie company so I don't think they'll make you wait too long. I used to get responses from sellers within a few hours normally. Doesn't hurt to ask if you want to know exact details direct from the seller.

          • +1

@Whisper Quiet: You're right! Responded in an hour. I guess I'm used to waiting days for most ebay sellers to reply.

  • Can anyone recommend a good keyboard/mouse combo for gaming? Thanks

Once again deal sounds great on the surface…and I'm sure there's a handful of 'deals' in there…but their Canon EOS R mirrorless is jacked/overpriced, with other australian stocked retailers seller aorund the $3000 mark, meaning after discount this only comes to about $2800 ish, which YES is an improvement, but not as good as the deal should be…add that to a postage fee on top…. Sorry but no purchases from me.

    • +3

So it is the cheapest you can find, probably barely making a margin of profit for the retailer, yet you want it cheaper?

  • ooooh, this looks nice - GV-N208TAORUS-X-W-11GC…. $2,595 + $15 post ($2205.75 assuming price doesn't get jacked after 15% discount applied, and free post if you're an ebay plus member…) though…..so far away…..

Could mount this on the top of my TJ-07 case if the tubes are long enough to reach that far up….

    • ….lol of course it went out of stock……

This was $650 a day ago, what a con Link: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/4-Bay-Synology-DS918-4GB-DiskSta…

  • Any good IPS Gaming Monitors worth jumping at?

  • Any bargains?

  • Uggh, I want this Seagate Ironwolf 10Tb $415.65, but im just, hmmm..I guess if I buy 2 of them, it saves on postage…

Wow I searched WD Red nas and most of them are still more expensive than MSY, even after the coupon. No deal.

    • +3

So you neg the whole deal because one obscure product that has a very specific use case is above the lowest price on the market?

  • Just looking at getting a parent a monitor for work purposes (MYOB, Excel, FB). Not fussy at all, she just wants something large. Probably one of these 27" monitors. I know some people don't like 1080P @ 27", but that's not a concern.

The 27" Samsung S27F350FHE is the cheapest, so figured that was just the easiest choice. Being $194.65 after discount. Beats the Staticice next best @ $210 (+shipping?)

Wondering if anyone has much knowledge on if there's any major difference on these budget monitors? Happy to go another ~$30 or something if it'll make large enough difference, though I can't imagine it would.

    Thanks for any thoughts.

Pretty much any model from a major brand with a IPS or PLS panel should do the job for general use. There is not generally much between them in that price range but the panel technology is important - probably don't go with TN panels.

      • Thanks for the input.

  • When will you stock the Synology DS1019+ ?

    • Probably with the next large batch of Synology, assuming we can source at a competitive price. There won't be any in the next week or so.

      • thx, ill wait.

  • Just bought the 500GB Samsung EVO Plus for $152 delivered.

    Good price.

$15 postage for a stick of RAM seems a bit silly.

    • I believe they've said it's a flat rate shipping for their whole store.

  • Would be awesome to have an Intel i7 9700K cpu, that's the only thing left from my build, bought almost everything else from you guys!

    • Thats one of the Intel SKUs still in short supply. Zero stock.

i hate this site, just got a 2080ti

    • Which one? Kinda eyeing one off too to better handle ultrawide from my 1080. The windforce looks like good value but a couple of complaints about temps

      • i purchased the msi suits my system a bit better

  • any recommendations for year 10 boy whose laptop blew up today and needs urgent replacement? cant be too heavy..and preferably sub/around 1k mark

  • impressive shipping time
ordered lunch yesterday, already arrived today

  • Computer Alliance are amazing! Just wanted to write a quick note to say thank you. Ordered yesterday just before 4pm yesterday, ok 3pm QLD time but still… ;-). Item arrived before 10am this morning to Central Coast NSW! Outstanding customer service. Thanks, again!

  • Video pro just jacked prices. Why do it mid way through..if you want to jack them before it starts not great but fine, mid way through is just bs.

    • Yeah pretty disappointed. Thought I had time to research TV's but they decided to jack prices mid sale. Lame.

      • As an update, somewhat props to videopro.

I ended up emailing them the next morning as I was a bit perturbed about the price change and they ended up honouring it for the previous price, so got myself a new tv. Thanks OP.

        • Damn I was thinking about doing that but never bothered. Think it still may be worth a try?

Did you mail them through ebay?

          • @bert-lifts: Yeah through ebay. Not sure there's much chance now especially since the 15% off ends tonight, they would only honour their part of the price not the discount ebay was offering. Depending on the tv you were looking at, the 20% off tomorrow should see some more deals around.

            • @Osiris: Even if they can reduce the price to the original discounted amount I can use a 10% code. Give it a crack I guess.

I'd prefer from them since I can pickup in Brisbane.

            • @Osiris: Thanks man they actually got back to me and reduced the price, still in time for the 15% off. Cheers for letting me know!

              • @bert-lifts: That's awesome, good of them to honour it after a cpl of days and at this time of night! What TV did you end up with?

                • @Osiris: I know, was really surprised. Very impressed with videopro tbh.

I got a 55" LG B8 OLED. What did you get?

                  • @bert-lifts: nice one, after much research and procrastination I also ended up with the B8. Was leaning strongly to the Sony for a while but playing with android in store had me reconsider and come back to the B8 especially at these prices.

  • Doesnt work anymore

    • Worked for me. I just bought a bunch of parts for my first ever AMD build.

      • Kept saying 'Cannot be applied' anyway it wasnt that big of a deal i'm just importing stuff from US instead
