New Web App for Monitoring Home Loan Offers

I've been working on a simple home loan campaigns monitor app in my spare time for the past couple of months, and decided it was time to publish it to public: Loans101

Webpage: http://loans101.com.au

The main features:

View home loan offers from major banks
Filter home loan deals by interest rates
Detail view of the home loan products and fees
Show the offers conditions and the expiry date
Home loan 101 series articles (basic)
Refinancing calculator (basic)

You can send suggestions, criticism, report bugs, whatever to me at [email protected], or reply to this thread. Don't by shy; your feedback will motivate me to work on this and will help things become more stable!

I plan on releasing more features based on feedback. I'm also keen to collaborate, let me know if you're interested in this and I'll contact you somehow when it does get released.

Looking forward to your feedback!

Cheers
Sam

  • Thank you! Is the website/page functional? I don't see any clickable button on it except 'Share'.

This link takes you to the comparison service

    • I think I know the issue. Some mobile devices have the buttons off the screen. I'll fix it.

    • @virhlpool, this issue is now fixed.

  • Where are you pulling the data from?

    • I keep track of all the home loan promotion pages in a spreadsheet. It's very manual and time consuming at this moment. I want to automate this part when I have time. I don't know if there are any existing APIs that I could use, that might save time.

      • I may be able to help you to pull the info.

        PM me

        • Thanks @sweefu, PM sent.

  • Nice. It looks really cool. Can you remove the space from the sides and make the table comparison area bigger.

I think if you keep it simple and remove all rubbish ad space for now, it will be a very clean looking elegant solution. Of course you can get referral money from banks if people click through your links.

Remember the charm of google webpage is simplicity. While yahoo and msn are a mess.

    • Removing the space from the sides… I guess you are referring to the desktop version right!

I like your suggestion, and I'm trying to envision what it will look like. I'll try to tweak the design to make it simpler.

Getting referral money from banks won't be easy. Then I'll be competitive with Finder and RateCity. I have some ideas on monetisation, but it might take a while.

  • +1

Is your website responsive? All over the place on my mobile.

    • The website is responsive. I have tested on Android phone and iPhone. Can you tell me which phone you are using, and I'll try to fix it.

      • Using android and Firefox

  • Looks nice on iPhone, there’s just a few errors in grammar and spelling on the main slider. Keep it up!

    • Thank you @shags21 for the feedback. Do you have any suggestions to what other features you would like to see or improve?
