  • Looks like it needs a valid phone number as they call to verify it within 72 hours.

  • The valid phone number for Australia mobile number (04xxxxxxxx) ok? or I need a local 02xxxxxxxx number?

    • Put your mobile number, i. e. +61-4XX-XXXXXX.

      I've signed up myself. Waiting …

      • Can you advise when you get it set up your thoughts pls

        • Set up is complete.
          My Asterisk/FreePBX is registered and I had my first inbound call.
          When activating the phone number, there is an option to generate an Asterisk Trunk Inbound & Outbound configuration. The configuration works flawlessly.

  • Just got an email from them: It is a company policy to speak to the person applying the account before they can activate it.

    So when I have the time, I'm going to ring them up and see if this makes any difference.

  • Just an update: My DID account has been activated.

    So here's how the process goes:
    1. Go to the website (see above) and sign up;
    2. A confirmation email will arrive.
    3. If it's asking for info, action it. The email will not ask for any credit card details.
    4. Send a reply to Customer Service and ask them (nicely) to activate your account.

    One thing nice about IPComms is when you've activated your account, an Asterisk/FreePBX SIP configuration can be generated.
