  While this is the cheapest price for the machine at the moment, they rarely sell for $899. They're always around the $550 mark at most retailers.

    I got it on this deal as well, and I concur. It needs regular cleaning to keep it running smooth, but it's pretty easy to maintain and makes good coffee. The milk foaming attachment also does a great job. No issues so far.

    I did the same but price matched with the good guys. Machine is still going strong and pulls a decent shot after tweaking the settings (trickles out like honey). Doesn't quite have the richness you get from a good manual machine but it's pretty bloody close for a bean to cup!

    I use aldi beans, they taste better than every supermarket brand and are cheaper than all of them too. The online places are great but still work out to >$20 per kilo. Have tried beans from online places (Manna beans etc) but I don't think this machine is quite enough to get the best out of them.

    While you will get more presets and a nicer interface, you’d get much better bang for buck getting the cheaper machine set the way you like it with good quality beans.

    We buy manna beans from deals here with a ~9 year old similar machine to this and get good cafe quality coffee.

  good machine, mine went for at least 8 years i would say but broke last month. Deciding whether to repair for probably $200 or buy a new unit.

  Grinder plunger needs a dab of food grade grease about 2-3 times a year, helps with consistent grinds.
  Easy to do. Remove grinder assy, push down on the grinding disk and the plunger is revealed, grease, push back and refit grinder assy.

  I use Kimbo beans, my Italian brother in law uses in Rome, swears by them, flavour is good and rich and slightly chocolate. Can be a bit hard to find. Europa in Melbourne or Gervarsi sometimes stock them.
