i wish they'd make smaller phones instead of bumping the screen/body each iteration.

    • Why don't you just buy their small variants?

    • I think redmi is the smaller version of redmi note series

      • Often with lesser hardware too?

      Get bigger hands

  • Can something similar to vanilla android be put on this? With google now etc?

    • Presumably you can put vanilla Android on, check the XDAdevelopers forum for this device, but you can install Google's launcher and Now on any device from app store I think.

    • +1

You can put the Google Now launcher on it. I've been using that for years. MIUI is really good with battery life. Aggressive. Which is fine by me.

  • Is there a global version? I thought there was only the Chinese and Indian versions. This one seems to be the Chinese version. And I can't find the global ROM on the official Xiaomi site. There's one on XDA… so does this mean this phone flashed by the seller?

I don't know. I thought the release of Indian version means it's now a global version available?

I can read Chinese. On the official Xiaomi Chinese website, there is no 128gb version of Redmi Note 7. So I guess maybe this is the global version?

    • They're claiming this one has band 20 which is not present on the Chinese or Indian versions as far as I know

    • Honorbuy are very accurate with their details .. global and CN versions are even listed seperately, handy place to check for specs.
AFAIK they dont deliver to oz??

  • About 100 more than the price in China

    • No 128gb version in China, at least not on the xiaomi official Chinese website.

  • +1

The Chinese Xiaomi website has these options:

    3GB+32GB 999 yuan ~ AU$210
    4GB+64GB 1199 yuan ~ AU$252
    6GB+64GB 1399 yuan ~ AU$294

Better off poco at this price

5 stars from me for putting no NFC or B28 in opening line. Should be compulsory.

Caveat Emptor…. Don't buy without watching this https://youtu.be/G8J7lCAs38w

I am sure most of us will stay back… May be MI8 lite or POCO F1 is a better option.

  • The Indian model gets released on the 13th March.
The ONLY version available now is the Chinese version

    • The Indian version has different specs than the global version. This one has 48mp+5mp rear camera combination whereas the Indian version has 12mp+2mp. Also released in Dubai, so there is a global version available as well.

  • Poco F1 from this deal is the better option, as Curiouscat3 suggested.

Wait for the Note 7 PRO that launched in India. It has the superior Snapdragon 675.

  • Their website lists band 28?

  • Cheaper here:

    Redmi Note 7 (Pre-sale) US$190 (4GB/64GB) and US$226 (4GB/128GB) +freight +GST
