  Are there any smart bulbs that are smaller as I have 2x FORSÅ from Ikea and these bulbs are too bulky to fit in them. The TP-Link ones are all the same size, I presume.

  Yea these are pretty massive they were double the length of my previous ikea bulbs. Got two from Officeworks yesterday and they came with bayonet adapters.

    Home automation. Lamps in lounge room that turn on just prior to sunset and are voice controlled. When on holidays, set up a schedule to have lights go on/off. Automated with a motion sensor in the hallway to turn on/off due to light swtich being down the wrong end of the hall. Lots of options to make them practical.

    xiaomi smart wifi socket?

    There are 2 versions though - one is zigbee which will need a xiaomi gateway and another one is the wifi version which does not require a gateway, however it cannot monitor power consumption
