  • Awesome!! Thank you so much - I was looking at buying a new TV today and almost walked away with a 32" Hisense for about the same price as this…thankfully I didn't get it so I can get the LG instead!

Don't buy LG at this price!

      • +1

Why not? Is there something wrong with this model?

        • +2

There's nothing wrong with this model, or LG per se; and it's $100 cheaper than anywhere else (sans shipping) shipped! :)

I know lots of people with LG TVs, they have no problems whatsoever with them! 3 years warranty is a nice reassurance too! ;)

  • +3

    edge lit only

    at least theyre being honest

    • +2

Full backlit for under $500? No way.

    • +1

At least edge lit LED uses less electricity than your standard LCD with edge lit CCFL.

      • AFAIK nobody uses "edge lit CCFL", only backlit! ;)

But yes, they do consume less power, and some folks do like the thinner profile! :)

  • +3

crap price. not even full hd and edge led is a marketing gimmick. tempted to neg but i'll let it pass

    • +6

At normal viewing distances, Full HD doesn't make a difference on 32" for TV and DVDs/Blurays. Full HD is worth it though if you're hooking up a PC.

Agree on the edge LED though…lame.

      • +1

Agreed with Stix Comments on HD…
But I am not a fan of LG TV

        • Is the same for a non technical person.

    • +4

I am very happy for you to neg beatlebob, don't hold back, but you need a valid reason as stated in voting guidelines.

Where else can you get a 32" LCD with 6-star energy rating and 3-year warranty delivered to your door for under $500?

  • I remember this one was $419 before in BigW online. When you guys talking about a 32" SONY sell for $369 in BigW online only but no stock at all. When I check all 32" TV, LG 32" LCD was $369 and This one LED-LCD was $419 because I remember the 6 star rate.

    • $419 for an LED-backlit? You should have posted the deal here! That would have been a superb deal if in fact it was that price. Maybe it was also a price mistake as some suggested was the case with the Sony.

      • a

  • I don't think that is price mistake for this LED-LCD LG 32". It was available online at that time and not like the SONY one NO stock available online. You can see the normal 32" LCD LG is $598 now , it was $360 at that time and stock available, there is $60 differ between the LED-LCD and the LCD at that time. I remember the spec 6 star rate and DivX HD etc…. But they did not show the model no. I search on the net and found the match spec, so I remember this model no.
I seem their online TV price keep changing.

    • You should've posted the $360 and $419 TVs here on OzBargain—at that price they are real bargains. Even if they aren't Full HD. Would have bought one myself.

      • They were posted on ozbargain:

        http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/42872

It was $418 for the LED-LCD and $356 for the LCD. But there was no free postage (postage was $15 for me).

        • i got the 32ld350 for 356 from bigw online.

it seems that epg data only loads for the channel/s which have been viewed in the current session, rather than loading epg data for all channels as is expected (and observed on my panasonic, sony).

spoke to lg customer service and there is supposedly no firmware update available to rectify this and was told that i should have tested it out before purchasing, and that the newer models are fine and i should go get one of those – what a response and a load of bollocks, i expect this from an el cheapo brand not lg.

i would think that its only a couple of lines of code but a company like lg cant be bothered?

i wont be touching lg ever again.

btw, has anyone else come across this and if so is there a fix?

          thanks.

        • I got the same tv and noticed that problem too. But its not that big a deal for me, I rather use the guide from the newspaper.

You can save an extra $5 by using the BDAY5 coupon code.

  • The price is OK but I don't think it is a bargain. A few bucks cheaper than similar LCD product is not a bargain. I can simply spend some more to buy a higher spec one.

  • nothing special its only Standard Def thats how the get the price down

    • No, it is a high definition display (1366 x 768).

  • I bought this when it was $418 + $15 before Easter in BIGW online. it's great TV, great features. 6 stars energy rating, HDMI, subtitle enabled. It is HDTV.

Harvey Norman sell this 32LE3300 for $799 last time I checked. You hardly can get 32" LED backlit TV under $500. Unless it's Chang hong or AWA or other china brand. so it is a great deal! I've been using it and I recommend this! Sound quality, not too bad. Awesome product for its price.

    • So does this have the same EPG issue mentioned by ReDeMp above??

"it seems that epg data only loads for the channel/s which have been viewed in the current session, rather than loading epg data for all channels as is expected (and observed on my panasonic, sony)"

not a big deal I suppose, but I do like a good EPG.

      • on paper it doesnt seem such a big deal, but in practice i find it a real nuisance.

the worst thing (and very unexpected) was the lg response.

might be worth giving them a call re the above model to check before buy as per their advice.

  • Very tempting. I'm fine without full HD at 32", 3 yr warranty, divx. very tempting indeed. If someone can find a better TV for under $500 please let me know.
