Brita Marella water filter jug. Normal price $32.50 @ kmart, varies at other stores. On clearance for $15 at the werribee plaza Kmart which is open 24 hours.

Fortunately we don't need water filter jugs in VIC as the water we get from the taps is of good quality, but at this price I couldn't resist getting one for me. The filter for this jug by itself is close to $12. I will see when the time comes to replace the filter if I can find another jug, or else I will just use this jug as a normal water jug ;)

    … my goodness…i paid 24bucks like a month or two ago, i thought they are cheap.now its 15…I HATE THIS!

    How many filter does this come with? There was a deal the other day - 1 jug + 6 filters for $40. Was on the Brita online store, not sure if it's still on.

      This only comes with 1 filter. But this is the extra large Marella jug. There are different types and sizes for the jugs but 1 jug + 6 filters for 40$ is also a good deal.

      yea that jug was the normal size, this is the XL 30L. I got the $40deal too, the jug is 24L.

        Should be 3L and 2.4L only. It would be a massive task for wifies to lift, hold and pour a 30L jug of water.

    This is exactly like buying a printer. You buy the jug for cheap, but then you need to buy expensive filters.

      I found that KMart is now selling generic filter, which is much cheaper than Brita's. They have two types so you may want to check it out if you can use it with your Brita jug. I am pretty sure you can.

      Or do they have chips to detect NonGenuine™ charcoal?

    The water tastes much better after filtered. Besides, all those chlorines they use to kill germs can kill a bit of you day by day. I think the filters are worth the money even though they are expensive.
