  • Total Tools min spend is $299.00 whereas Sydney Tools say no min spend and they have free shipping on over $99 spend.

Both have restrictions on redemption period for voucher.

    • Where are you finding the terms and conditions or is this something inferred by omission.

      • Inferred by omission - i looked hard to no avail the time of posting.

No Milwaukee or Makita is a killer.

        • I bought my wishlist (Milwaukee) and did get the vouchers. You get the voucher for the purchase of anything* but voucher cannot be used for the excluded brands.

          *Verbally informed by store staff.

          • @[Deactivated]: Can you have a wishlist on there or you just mean you already knew what you wanted i wasnt organised for when this come up. Got a good deal as i needed both things anyway and saved $70-180 if you count the btw deal on the 200% marked up price anyway

Scroll down to the send lot of numbers and look at #5 orders

  • SO it is not cash back but credit to spend in store?

    • Affirmative.

  • Also no coverage of Milwaukee, not really any bargains here

    • I may be wrong but it is the bonus vouchers that exclude those items.

I'm making a trip to get quite a few things so I'll get more info.

  • I have worked there before and I can tell you, it usually doesn’t include major /popular brands. They only give you discount on their brands which they make 300-500% mark ups

They are only trying to be competitive with total tools

Please include it in the title
Doesn’t include Milwaukee, fein, makita, festooll

    • I haven't shopped there, but how are the powertool prices compared to Total Tools?

      • Similar range. Milwaukee being the most heavily marketed as it isn't sold in Bunnings or Mitre10.

        Sydney tools is much tidier.

Total Tools is more matured but warehouse look. Not a fan. You don't need to be reminded of a dusty workplace when you're buying work tools.

        Total Tools is franchised.

        Sydney Tools is not.

      • About the same, powertools are super competitive. Low margins. Maybe $10-$20 on a powertool at most.
Stores like total tools and Sydney tools make money off the accessories and their own branding.

Just need to do a bit of research to see which store has better deals.

  • Never mind

  • +1

Side note: Spending your cashback money on a second order rewards you with additional cashback, also stacks with BTW promo code. I spent my $400 cashback and received another $80 credit on my account. That gave me a further $15 credit. All in all I placed three orders and got $680 worth of stuff for $4.

    • Nice!

I saw you got yourself an air compressor.

I'm also considering an air compressor to spray gun varnish and sandblast.

  • I stacked my bonus store cash with btw but done it over the phone so didnt end up getting more cashback.

Did you do it online or instore?

    • Online mate.

  • Ah ok cheers i got my second order bundled in to save freight. But then again i actually ended up changing what i was going to buy and it went over the $99 anyway.

  • Like said above its normally store credit only for their own brands that are 300% marked up but this one seems to only exclude milwaukee makita festoon & fein. wonder if you could get dewalt or hikoki

    • If it is not listed in the exclusion, I don't see why not.

    • Probably would be fine, normally all the ads and sales are overlooked many times
