  • Dammit, I just bought Mortal Kombat for Switch and forgot the GAMECENTRAL code. Nice to know someone's all over it OP, good post.

    Has Gerry finally snapped?

How can they sell them so cheap?

    • +1

      It probably at cost

      • COST?!?

        • Cost, The actual amount of money he buys it for to then sell

I should have said Cost Price!

      • Cost is way higher.

    • I still remember HN selling xbox 360 games at $120. Maybe hell has frozen over.

      • -6

        I've lucked out.
I played pirated games all my life till this console gen.

Now games have never been cheaper.

        • +2

          Not cool. 🚫😎

        • Well they're still cheaper on PC than console most of the time, especially if you wait 6 months

  • Will they allow click and collect with this? Would save on their rediculous shipping.

    • Says 1hour click and collect on the page.
      I can't see it being a problem.

      • Or just call and ask the store to keep one aside. Worked for me today for FC5 and AC Odyssey. They were the last ones available at my local store. I was told that they can hold the order for 48 hrs.

  • +1

Does anyone know what HN are like with shipping games? Do they ship on the release date or a day before?

    • Webite states '2-4 business days after release day", so who knows..

  • +7

Damn. If Amazon hasn't price matched Days Gone by Sunday then Gerry can have my $52.

    • +1

Nah do a price match at EB or JB instead :)

      • +2

EB cant price match pre-released items. I just tried (my local which is usually very good, cant due to pre-order). I am hoping Amazon match this price. Jerry sucks.

      • Ebgames nor jbhifi price match unless the store manager allows it. I've tried.

      • +11

Rocks in your head if you shop at Amazon? As opposed to the vast empty nothingness that occupies the space in your head?

  • +7

I swore over a year ago I'd never give Gerry one more cent, but this is so tempting…

  • +2

Come on Amazon, don't want Gerry to win this!!! COME ON MAN!!

    • -3

Yes let Jeff Bezos become richer. Lol. No brain at all

      • +3

Rather give it to Gerry? lol, you might need a brain lol

  • Awesome!

  • -6

OP: Please add https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/442723 in your description so others can see the other sale items.

Also, if you found this sale by that post, please credit them as well…

  • +7

Bugger it, HN gets my money. I'm all for waiting for Amazon to price match, but if HN is being this competitive, I'll support that.

  • -2

Played the Yoshi Demo and it was crappy.
Sekiro not really interested in or Days gone.
MK X already getting Statue editon on X1 and ps4 Premium edition.
I also wanted switch version. This is crazy price! Weird how Switch version doesn't have a premium version?
Rage 2 looks good, but i never finsih open world games. last 2 open world games i finished, that i can remember? was Crackdown 3 and Far cry 3.
PS Yes i love MK so i must have all console versions. Will Build a gaming PC for MK11 later this year.

    • +1

I played the first Rage for about 10 minutes and put it down as the controls felt off and the environment was uninspired.
Hopefully the second is good, they've had like a decade to make it.

      • -1

Im sure X1X and PS4 pro versions will look and run great, well max 30fps, Rage 1 on 360 and ps3 looked shocking.
        R2 Gameplay looks mad!

        • +3

Rage 1 ran 60fps on xb360/PS3 and was quite the technical achievement

    • +1

      Didn’t crackdown just come out?

    • Yoshi was really that crap? aimed at young kids?

  • +7

Was looking to get Sekiro day 1, so this is perfect. Thanks.

    • I hope they release a demo for it. I'd like to.know the performance on PC vs PS4 pro as dark souls 3 was better on my PC for Smooth frame rate.

      • Pretty sure the gameplay demo that was previewed last year ran at 60fps on xbox 1x.

There won't be a demo so checking out the digital foundry coverage will have to suffice

        • +1

I've watched a ps4pro demo on YouTube. Seemed to stick pretty close to 60 which is nice but the PC specs are pretty good and under demanding. They recommend an i5 2500k from 2011 for good performance so it should scale up real nice on a lot of hardware. The thing is, I really like my HDR and things and HDR on PC has been hit and miss for me with HDR on anthem being completely broken on PC. I could not even launch the demo as it would go to Dolby Vision and black screen. HDR on AC Odyssey is great on my PC however. At the end of the day. If Sekiro looks reasonably crisp and runs at solid 60 on ps4pro I will bite but if I can run it at near 4k on my PC at 60 and it has working HDR and is a good port, I want it on PC.

  • Why only PS4 versions?

    • Dunno. Some of the links from press start go to the overall list, for others. Just search for the game and choose platform before adding to cart.

    • +1

Prices are the same for other platforms if they have them:
      Sekiro for Xbox & PS4
Mortal Kombat 11 for Xbox, Switch & PS4
      Rage 2 for Xbox, PC & PS4

      • +1

        Shame no Sekiro for PC

      • +2

Thanks mate! Preordered Sekiro for XB1.

Hopefully it won’t be as hard as Nioh?

        • I agree, fingers crossed they make it harder than Nioh

          • @Agret: Never played Nioh, is it harder than Dark Souls III?

            • @FireRunner: I found DSIII tougher than Nioh. Nioh is a great game, I highly recommend it.

              • @[Deactivated]: Really?
I can finish ds3 with one hand but nioh just destroys me!

                • @iamhurtin: Hahaha, the opposite for me. Once I had the right build I breezed through Nioh. DSIII there are still quite a few bosses that I struggle with on a normal playthrough, let alone NG+!

                • @iamhurtin: I think it is entirely based on your play style tbh. I found DS3 reasonably difficult and breezed through Nioh. My mate had the complete opposite experience.

  • +1

Do they charge you when you order or on release date? I can't find any info on how they handle preorders on their website.

    • Would also like to know; Payday is mid next week, but would like to get in on the pre-order specials now.

    • +3

I just had a chat with them and they charge you straight away.

      • +1

Ah that's kind of annoying. Thanks for finding that out though

        • +1

          No worries.

  • Sekiro, Mortal Kombat and Rage 2 are the same price for Xbox.

    • And where available on PC, same on PC.

  • Ok Gerry you win this time

    You may take my money

  • Who is Gerry? Why is Gerry?

    • +2

I do you one better, Where is Gerry?

  • +3

    Need Sekiro for PC :(

  • Can someone tell me which they believe will have the longest campaign length / longevity out of Rage 2, Days Gone and Sekiro (all games I want but will only purchase one). Tried googling but found differing answers.

    • Well none are out so its pretty much impossible to tell the best guess is by looking at previous titles. Rage 1 was 11 hours, Dark Souls 3 was 31 and i have not idea what Days Gone is going to be like. I will say i do think Rage 2 is a bigger project than the 1st and will probably be longer and DS3's hours may be becuase of the constant dying and trying again.

    • +2

Sekiro will be big, but its difficulty will likely pad its longevity. The SoulsBorne games aren’t massive in map size, it’s their difficulty that can see them take a while to complete.

    • +2

Days gone has been said to be 30 hours by the devs. They say that is main story but I would always shave some hours from what they say. IMO You should pick what looks best not what is the longest but you do you :)

    • Since it's a From Software title Sekiro will have the most longevity from all the different ways you can challenge yourself when replaying it

  • +7

Insane launch prices. Was on the fence for Sekiro and Days Gone but at that price point, stuff it.

  • Is there a cancellation policy that anyone has been able to find on the website?

Nice to know what the options would be if the reviews are poor.

    • I too am hesitant in going with an order as their is no info in regards to cancelling an order with Hairy Norma.

I just checked Amazon. They've priced matched Sekiro and Yoshi Crafted world already. If you use cash rewards and their 5% back it's only 20 cents more and you don't need to do click and collect to save on postage. Hopefully they do Rage 2 and Days Gone soon at $52 so I can take advantage of the Amazon/cash rewards combo.

      • Oh crap should have held off and bought it off Amazon.

  • +1

$14 cheaper than JB, yeah not gonna beat these prices

  • I pre-ordered Yoshi's Crafted on Amazon for $66… they were more than happy to cancel my pre-order so I could buy from HN. So now I'm getting from HN!! Thanks OP.. $16 saving! (free shipping from Shipster)

    • I am surprised they didn't just update your pre-order pricing

      • That was what I was expecting.. but he was just like.. "you want me to cancel it for you?" Anyway Amazon has now dropped the price to $52.. $48.88 with 6% cashback.. Danggit!

        • -8

          Loser

          • @Yrs: I'm not too salty about it… because I managed to pick up Hyrule Warriors and get is shipped for free due to over $25 spend with the Yoshi… Basically with the $16 saving I was able to get Hyrule for $1… (That's how I justify it Ahahahahaha)

  • Thanks mate. Sekiro and days gone are on my buying list. I also ordered Rage 2 and Mortal Kombat.
I am also happy to pay the $5.95 delivery fee.

    • Your year of gaming is set

  • +3

Amazon have just price matched Sekiro and MK11 - both $52 delivered.

    • Yep. Now we just need Days Gone.

Wish they matched the discounted price though Shopback/Cashrewards makes up for it I guess!

    • Does amazon deliver on launch day?

Saw the estimated delivery as 26/3 or 27/3, which is the tur or wed after launch on 22/3

      • +1

That delivery estimate would be with standard shipping. With expedited shipping the game is supposed to arrive on release day. Out of 5 preorders, I’ve had one game (Ace Combat 7) not arrive on release day with Amazon.

        • Ok so that’s just a generic date then.

I have prime and my email confirmation says “prime expedited shipping”.

      • -4

They deliver before launch day just for you

        • +1

I got DMC5 yesterday (ie Thursday, day before release), so I think it must be just for ME ;P

          • +1

@Popid: I got Trials Rising on Switch something like 5 or 6 days before the release date. So yeah, sometimes you might get it a bit late, sometimes you'll get the product early.

      • Ace Combat came on release day for me; even better yet, I got DMC5 yesterday, a day BEFORE release, sooo I was pretty happy about that! heh. And I feel bad for not ordering from Harvey Norman this time since they've really stepped up with these prices, but when there's a small chance Amazon might deliver Sekiro early too I can't not take that ;)

  • what the? what happened to division 2 pre order? I saw it this morning but the listing is not there anymore

  • +2
    • So is Days Gone, MK 11 but not Rage 2 ($92)

      • +6

Haha, yeh I just saw. Funny thing is I had already preordered days gone and sekiro a few days ago through amazon. Then I asked if they would price match HN, they said they couldn't price match but gave me a $20 credit. Now the price on both dropped to $52, so effectively got both for $42 each. Pretty happy with that.
