what best low profile card(s) available please?

    • Post in the forums if you have a question on the best low profile video card. You will get better responses.

Currently a low profile 1050 card I believe, just don't try and pop one in to one of those SFF Dells with the low power PCI-E slots, best you can drop in to one of those is a 1030.

  • Worth upgrading from my GTX 970 G1 Gaming for this?

Price doesn't seen bad or try get a 2nd hand 1070..

    • +2

If you're happy to keep playing at 1080p for quite a while then yes perhaps, if want to move to 1440p better to wait for good deals on 2060.

    • +1

As above, 2060, don't waste your time with a second hand card.

      • Will keep an eye out for a good 2060 deal :)

        • Essentially a 1070ti with Ray Tracing and DLSS, along with future driver improvements… makes the 1070 useless IMhO.

  • Is 2700X worth the money ?
Placing to build a gaming with Ryzen 2600 with RX580. however, if 2700X is much better, will add to my budget.

    • Just finished my build with Ryzen 2600 and RTX 2060 and it is MORE than adequate for anything I need.
If you're going RX580, and aren't planning on doing a whole bunch of multitasking to utilise the extra cores/threads (eg game streaming, CAD rendering etc) then I suggest sticking with R5 2600.
