    • +6

Why would they panic? Amazon doesn't offer auctions.

      • +3

People still buy from auction on eBay?

        • Just won't a brand new Google home mini for $20 including shipping because the seller put it under wrong category and I was the only bid :)

        • -1

          Only smart people

    • +6

Is it really? Everything I’ve looked for recently has been either unavailable or three times RRP from a third-Party seller.

  • NO ONE PANIC

Is this on the front page because there were 19 upvotes in <10 mins?? There are hardly 35 clicks.

    • +1

      I believe thats the algorithm.
We know the drill though, no need to click.

      • -1

        Sheep click

    • Robot scripts and automation = efficiency

Isn’t that what IT is all about nowadays?

    • I think all you need is 10 upbargains then it’s front page sorted by newest.

I’m thinking of getting a Nvidia Shield. Anyone recommend any sellers?

  • why excluding bunnings?

    • +1

More likely that Bunnings and Officeworks has decided not to contribute to any discount Ebay is offering therefore Ebay is not included them.
Based on rumour, the promotion is always a co-contribution ( half from Ebay and half from Sellers).

      • +3

If it’s 10% off sitewide then it’s just ebay that pays it.

      • +3

You don't contribute for sitewide sales. It will be more along the line of certain stores wanting to remain integrity and wanting customers to trust the price listed in their actual store.

      • +2

For 20% off sales only, it's 15% seller and 5% ebay, as stated by a couple of sellers who had been approached.
        Sitewide is by ebay.

    • You get the taste of discounted Bunnings items, you will always wait for discounted Bunnings items.

  • I am PANICED that Ebay will running out of codes pretty soon. It's becomes daily deals like Groupon.

    • At least Groupon has cashback.

      • +2

At least Groupon doesn't require $120 minimum spends to get a discount.

        • At least Groupon doesn’t have $40 cap on discounts….. oh wait

    • +3

      Don't worry.

Maybe you can use this deal to find yourself a K.

  • Will Bunnings price match discounted ebay prices from a local competitor with a bricks and mortar store? Item is same price but I've got a Bunnings coupon and wouldn't mind the extra 10% off.

    • No. They match the price, not special discounts on top of it.

      • "It applies where the other retailer’s final price, inclusive of delivery, taxes, fees and charges, is lower than our price on the day that the price guarantee is requested."

Could be interpreted that the discounted price is final price … guessing Bunnings wouldn't see it that way.

        • Yes, they're looking to maximise the competitor's price in that statement, not reduce it.

Bunnings pretty notorious for not 'encouraging' achievable price matches.

  • 50 bucks discount only come on

  • Joke 10% is 10% not $50

  • $50 max hahahahha

  • +1

so the 10% coupons that last a few days are usually only 1 or 2 uses and this one that lasts 8 hours allows 4 uses lol

  • Is it possible instead of all these deals just getting 200 votes there could be some requirement that if you upvote you need to contribute a specific deal?

Similarly to how you need to justify a negative vote.

I never really see the actually deals from these 5-10% off storewide.

Occasionally there is a separate deal posted…but not always.

  • Another one.

  • This became daily deal

  • -2

Is eBay part of the Groupon group now, a discount code every day 😌

  • wow officeworks excluded? that is BS…

    • No, it's been like that for a while.

      • +3

Oh okay, so it's just been bs for longer.

Haven't used a sitewide code for awhile as they're pretty terrible.

        • +1

I guess there are those who find them useful and those who don't. I find them really good and have saved hundreds with them over the past year or so.

          • +1

@dm01: Yeah…if you're looking to buy something anyway…it's better than a slap in the face with a dead fish.

I have plenty on my shopping list, but this kind of discount pretty much rules out auctions (unless they're finishing that night), and for anything with "make an offer" you can't really get a response to an offer in time. In addition, you have to know to avoid using on the regular 20% off sellers (unless they're price jackers, in which case, 10% is probably as good as anything).

I still managed to tip over $120 with a few things that I was waiting to buy…all BIN with smaller sellers who simply never take part in 20% off. Prices on these items were as good as or better than anywhere outside of eBay - and I would have bought these items anyway - so the 10% off is just a bonus.

  • but still no cashrewards?

  • -7

"Something went wrong. Please try to check out again."

    Ahh, good old eBay.

EDIT: Also, why the fudge is the minimum spend always BEFORE GST for items not located in AU?

    • If everyone else has no issues using the code, but you do, what does that tell you?

      • -3

I'm a big tightare trying to get to the exact $120 min spend but eBay doesn't like it?

  • I missed out by a few seconds.

I actually successfully found $120 to use the code so I did. Then after that I realized I forgot another $65 item I was meaning to buy but can't add it to the order so I spent a couple of hours trying to find $55 and struggled hard. There was nothing I Really needed. By the time I managed to put something together I was racing against the clock and only seconds off.

I wonder if there will be another one tomorrow? But the item I was looking at, I am expecting to sell out by then.
