That was like pulling teeth, trying to get them to reset the activation date.
"When did you place the order…"
"When did you receive the SIM…"
"Have you already used the SIM…"
The rep either had no clue what she was doing, or was setting me up to say: "Sorry it was sent activated and you didn't use it the first day it arrived so you lose those days." I had to push, and push, explaining the last day for activation was TODAY, that I hadn't even pressed out the SIM yet to put in a phone, that I know from online forums people get on livechat and have no problem requesting their billing cycle be reset, etc.
She finally said she would credit 9 days if it doesn't reset. That I need to make a call, send a text, etc. then wait a day or two and should receive an SMS - then login to check I have a full 28 days from today. So I still don't know if the reset has been done.
It sounded like she either didn't know how to do it, or just didn't want to - figuring it was easier to fob me off for someone else to deal with a couple of days from now if I bother to call back.
Anyone reading back to this in the future… DO NOT give your details to Amaysim until AFTER the SIM has arrived in the post AND it's the day you want activation to begin from. This forces them to send the SIM unactivated. SOME people have no trouble getting Amaysim reps to reset their billing cycle to regain the lost days the SIM spent in transit (or to activate on the last day of a Groupon deal) - others, no so much.
