    It has been cheaper back in 2017, and the same price in June 2018. I've been looking at them too and hear the battery life isn't the best (main downfall)

      These are still good for a clean up or spruce vaccum. The battery life isn't quite there to replace your plug in completely. REally to complete with a plug in they need be be in turbo mode which only gives 6 mins. I got an aftermarket battery for mine recently as the original was giving out an I get over 8mins on turbo.

        The turbo mode is only comparable to other battery vacuums. If you actually have a good vacuum then these guys are like table top vacuums in comparison. I got a battery operated one for doing my stairs only, using it on carpet etc is a waste as it leaves so much behind. I had V7 and returned it - possibly good for tiles/wood etc.

        We were getting our property ready rent, and we went over with the dyson over the carpet in the bedrooms. It didn't lift hairs very well, so I went over it with my Bosch corded vacuum, and it picked up so much dust/dirt/hair that the dyson couldn't even touch. So 100% agree with your spruce up definition.

        I think the people that lose out are the ones that think this can do their whole house with carpet as a full time vacuum.

  Good deal. I think if you have the coin, The dyson V7 from good guys might be worthwhile. Its 10% off at the moment with MAR10 code. Down to $360. Way better bin release and heaps better design more powerful turbo head. https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/dyson-v7-cord-free-handstick-…

  Our V6 has been good but I had to replace the motor in the turbo head abotu 4 years in. Still good. The v7 direct drive heads look to be a better design.

    The V6 Animal Extra has Direct Drive as well.
    "Direct Drive cleaner head - 75% more brush bar power than the Dyson V6"

    Cheaper than the v7.
