Made In China is a sure thing.

In any case can you print with these WITH a cable, ie NON wireless?

That's a very specific and strange question (to me at least) - but a quick google tells me you need a 'USB on-the-go' compatible device and a USB OTG cable to get wired printing to work via USB cable.

You can also find reports of people claiming USB OTG works with their Tab S3, so I think the answer to your question is 'yes'!

    • As far as i know, most of the Samsung phones and tablets are made in Vietnam.

And most of the Chinese don't buy Samsung products.

      • Assembled in Vietnam of Chinese components, NOT Yamaha or Dott

Just my opinion: I managed to buy an iPad 9.7" 2018 + Apple Pencil for cheaper than that by price-beating with Officeworks. I'm an Android user (since 2012), but I had to go with Apple for my first tablet because of its quality as well as the re-sale price that it keeps compared to Android tablets. I am thoroughly happy with my purchase so far.

    • Agree. I think the only reason why anyone wants to buy this older tablet is:
      1. Expandable memory
      2. Screen (Amoled)

But.., I will still go with ipad (I'm an Android user using Galaxy Note, Note 5, Note 8 btw).

        1. Dislikes using/getting another set of Lightning connector
        2. Dislikes having to purchase/maintain the same set of apps

Previous owner of iPad 1st Gen and Nexus 7 here. Just like you I prefer the iPad but I'll wait (or hoping) for the iPad to go USB-C's way.

      • And if they prefer more freedom in accessing your folders. I prefer iPad as well since it feels much more intuitive and the UI is very well though out

  • Is this a bargain?? Looking to replace my mums Tab S1

  • Not that much more expensive to get S4 which will have more GB, and updated specs and os.

    • Scored myself a tab s4 256gb lte version from gumtree for $600.. 2 months old and came with receipt.

      • Nice. I got the same model but brand new for $810 and I paid via discounted ebay cards, so $730.

The only complaint I have is that the pen isn't magnetic. So unless you got the cover (which I did) there's nowhere to put the pen.

It's a gorgeous screen, and it doesn't have the annoyances of walled gardens, which is refreshing as an iPad user.

  • Mediapad m5 not a better buy?

    • 8.4". Also, no one other than Samsung makes OLED tablets.

      • There's a 10.8" version of the M5. Never really liked the cranked up contrast Samsung does on oled but that's personal pref. Speakers on Huawei tablets are unparalleled, even compared to ipads
