    Is this phone any good?

    • For the price, definitely. In general, ehh I guess, it does lag a tiny bit. I'd say the Redmi 6 price jump is worth it but turn again, this is on sale.

  • Why do manufacturers refer to storage memory as ROM?

That's a good question, I never stopped to think about that, as ROM is read only memory, but you can definitely write to the phone storage also. Apparently that term has kinda been adopted even though it is essentially incorrect. Have a read of this link. There are a few good points that kind of explain it.

  • 16gb is too low if you use 2 sims

Thanks for posting, I think we need more budget phones on Ozbargain. This might be too basic for many people, but it's a good option to present rather than something costing several hundred of $$. I'm never going to pay mega bucks on a flagship with today's models. A galaxy S3 around $380 was my limit, then Redmi Note 3 pro for $220. Waiting for the next sub $300 value for money phone.
