  • I'd be worried about losing these ear plugs…

Having to take them out to listen to co workers

    • +12

Wait you’re suppose to take them out when your co workers start talking to you? Strange..

    • +1

Really? I usually just point at my ears with a solemn face and they get the picture. If they don't just mouth out the words "On a teleconference".

  • +6

I have these. I can answers qs anyone has.
Pairing to both and then just 1 at a time is annoying.
Theres a buzz if nothing is playing
The battery is good and the case battery is huge.

The touch controls are Sensitive, using them in bed is nearly impossible cos my ears activate them.

    • +1

"Pairing to both and then just 1 at a time is annoying." <— What do you mean?
And how is the sound quality and call quality?

      • +1

Like I can pair to the pair of them
If I wanna use 1 I pull one out and it tried to repair to a device with the same name and gets confused.

Sound quality is average. Not terrible but I wouldn't call it good/great

    • confirmation on video lag please via phone/desktop?

      • +1

I mainly listen to music/audio books so I don't know. I'll watch some YouTube tonight and update

      • I had no video lag on youtube or Netflix. This was with a Pixel 2, Nexus 10 and a Tab S4.

Don't have apple products to test sorry.

Oh and I can't even get sound on my XPS 13 which is a shame. Pairs but nothing happens.

I actually really like them though. For the price they work great, but an audiophile will think they are trash, but what do you expect for $45?

    • I bought these last deal and this is why ive only used them a few times.

The pairing is terrible, the buzz and the touch controls are too sensitive. I wore them to the gym the first time rubbed past one of the headphones and spent the rest of the session trying to re pair both with a buzz in one ear and music in the other.

Plus they fit terribly in the ear. Constantly having to readjust. And with the sensitivity issues its a nightmare

      Dont recommend buying these.

      • Mine fit last but yes pairing sucks
        That battery life though

  • Hi Rep,

Do you have any current deal on TT-BH047 headphones.

    Thanks

    • +1

There was a Lightning Deal for those on Amazon this morning.

I don't have a code for those right now but might in a couple of weeks time.

if you or anybody else would like to be notified when I have a deal for any TaoTronics, VAVA, HooToo, Anjou, Sable or RAVPower product, please send me a private message with the product in the title and I will be happy to let you know :)

    • Hey Mate, I have just uploaded a Massive sale for TaoTronics Headphones & Earphones that included the BH047's

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/451742

  • Trying to use code "MRZ7C84X" for Type C cables, and it doesn't work.

    • +1

I have tested it and it isn't working, I have messaged the Rep and he is looking into it.

Hopefully, it will be sorted out shortly.

    • +1

I was given the wrong code, the correct one is ZIIQCTK8

      • Thanks Xev

I too have the TT-BH052s. The audio quality is reasonable and the battery life is pretty good. I used them for a few months and didn't lose them despite being the kind of person who would. They have magnets to stick in the case, so you can stick them together before stuffing them in a pocket which helps.

Honestly there are a few negatives:

    • they are practically unusable for phone calls. People could never really hear me and could hear lots of background noise even in quiet environments
    • touch controls are a bit flaky and not consistent
    • pairing is a pain in the ass, especially if they lose sync
    • the charging case is really bulky
    • if you take one out and hold it in your hand while taking a call on the handset, you'll likely hang up by accidentally activating the touch button

That being said, they're very convenient for listening, have pretty good battery life and the case lasts a really long time between charges. I upgraded to the galaxy buds which are a world apart, but these things are 1/4 to 1/3 the price of galaxy buds/airpods and are pretty good value for that price point, as long as your primary purpose is just to listen.

    • @BongoOB

    • I would agree on all these points except the first. Never had a problem taking calls or people hearing me, but I only ever use one bud at a time and I speak loudly on the phone. The charging case is pretty good given it is also a battery pack, but yeah, it would be nice to have a little carry case about half the size of a tic-tac box to carry them around in. Maybe that is a product idea for someone to make!

    • Taking these out of the case is a pain in the arse! Almost need something to pry them out. Pretty good otherwise.. couple of complaints about pairing, but no deal breakers.. although I haven't used them a whole lot.

edit: oh yeah, the touch controls are sensitive. Give me a proper button any day.

  • Thanks @xev

  • How much better better is this TaoTronics TT-BH052 compared to QCY T1C? Anyone has listened to both?

    • Good question. I have QCY T1C and found them very good. It will be interesting comparison between the two.

      • looking to buy a T1C, how is the bass on those? I've been looking around and I've had mixed findings

        • +1

I have the T1C. The bass is fine as long as you get a good seal. I couldn't get any decent bass with the stock ear pieces so I just bought some foam ones from ebay and cut them with a razor so they can fit in the charging box. I listen to mainly techno and some hiphop and I find the bass adequate now.

  • I have 2 of these wireless chargers from last time they were on special for the bedside tables for overnight charging and I couldn't be happier.

  • +2

You guys are awesome, I was about to pull the trigger, and after checking the comments I've decided against it. Thanks for saving me the hassles

  • +1

Lol I bought the excellent ear Buds last time they were on special recently. They are sool good I purchased another 2 for my brothers just the other day. Bugger I could have got them for $90 instead of $120 lol. Awesome price ppl don't hesitate these work flawlessly.

  • +1

Oh man I just brought Tronsmart Spunky Buds TWS Earphones yestoday from ozbargain post.
Any difference between I brought & this one?

  • +1

I bought a pair of B052s recently and didn’t like them at all. Bought another pair of wireless earphones a day later.

Note: I only wore them at the gym, so when pushing heavy weights your ears open up from strain. Not good for gym, but might be ok for other uses.

    The cons:

They fall out of your ears constantly, so terrible seal on the ears.
    Calls not good at all.
    Sound quality not the best.

I would not recommend these to anyone.

  • +2

Are there any smaller ones? Like one's that aren't really noticeable when you're wearing them?

  • Bought 1.thanks op and xev. Cheers

  • when does this offer end?

  • These are pretty good. I use them in the gym. They fit well. Charging case is good too.

  • Bought a pair of TaoTronics BH052 last time, would return them soon.

The Mic is extrememly poor. The battery life is around 3 hours. Also, it has problem when working with TT-BA08: 1. the volume up & down doesn't work. 2. very loud crackle.

  • I returned my pair, bought on previous deal. One of the buds wouldn't turn off when I put it in the case, so bluetooth was always connected and audio wouldn't play through my phone unless I turned bluetooth off completely! Plus the sound was very tinny compared to my previous Sounpeats. I wouldn't recommend.

    • One of the buds wouldn't turn off when I put it in the case

That happened on my T1Cs recently…I had to forget and re-pair to resolve the issue.

  • Any more deals on the BH046? Missed out last time

  • Thanks OP! Just ordered 2 of the wireless chargers for the parents, they love the value for money of Ravpower!
