Panasonic-Viera 58" FULL-HD 3D Digital Plasma TV THP58VT20A for $1399 & 54" THP54VT20A for $1199

300

Personally, no use to me as I'm looking for 65" TV, but thought I'd post this for people who are in the market for a good quality big TV. Read a lot of reviews who bought from them in the past and almost all feedback was positive. Most people have said that TV's they bought from them had only some minor carton damage or minor scratch marks on the stand, but otherwise a fully functional TV which comes with 12 months manufacturers warranty and 3 years extended warranty for $209 is also available. Delivery to Sydney metro is $45 or free pickup for Sydney metro area is also available.
Exclusive online offer only and only while stocks last and if previous sales are anything to go by, they will sell out pretty quickly.
RRP for THP58VT20A is $2999 and RRP for THP54VT20A is $2499.

They also have some smaller and non 3D Panasonic plasma's available:

PANASONIC - VIERA 42" FULL HD PLASMA TV, USB, DLNA THP42V20A - $599 (RRP $1299)
PANASONIC - VIERA 50" FULL-HD DIGITAL PLASMA TV THP50U20A - $599 (RRP $1199)
PANASONIC - VIERA 42" (106CM) FULL HD DIGITAL PLASMA TV ECO THP42U20A - $499 (RRP $899)
PANASONIC - VIERA 50" (127CM) HD DIGITAL PLASMA TV THP50X20A - $549 (RRP $999)

Also 58" non-3D version:

PANASONIC - VIERA 58" FULL-HD DIGITAL PLASMA TV THP58S20A - $1095 (RRP $2299)

Factory second but price was good anyway.

  • yeah quite a good price, been monitoring tv deals for a while :) if only i had the money haha :(

  • Is it generally, the bigger the saving, the worse the damage/marks/etc??

There are similar prices people reported on whirlpool for brand new ones. If you're interested in these tvs check whirlpool first.

Feel free to link that whirlpool thread.

This deal is on whirlpool, and the posters seem to think it's good.

  • going to pick up my 58 inch now :)

I'm jealous. The ~$220 shipping to Perth kills the deal a bit for me. And I really wanted one of these too :(

    • Was it you that got the last 1? Bastard!
      :D

I had a 58VT in my cart that disappeared before my eyes! I really shouldn't have waited so long.

  • Nah I ordered mine last night

  • damn looks like they're all gone now

  • VT58s gone first, now theyre all gone.

    Hope they get more.

  • OOPS!

THE PRODUCT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR HAS CURRENTLY SOLD OUT.

    • The THP50X20A is quite different from the V20A, which is much better, and then the VT20A is the 3D version. The new models just announced are something like ST (S), GT (V), VT (VT), but the higher end ones will be a while.

See http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1677282&p… for info on the THP54VT20A - the top 2D 54". There may still be some around. The Good Guys are currently selling them for $1297 in Newcastle. Bing Lee apparently had 700 somewhere around the end of April, but they may have sold most of them (?). Their price before bargaining is $1399, but I would mention the Good Guys price. JB HiFi Kotara beat the GG price for me.

  • This is great for the man cave, shame it won't fit.

Great bargain though. Positive from me.

  • man how far back do u have to sit from a 58" tv o.0

    • there's a 60 inch in my girlfriend's bedroom…there's not really enough
floor space to sit far from the tv so you end up about 1.5m away at most
but you get used to it after a while..and the headaches cease =P

    • Just google it, I can't remember offhand but I wouldn't want to be closer than 2.5-3m from my 55"! Mrdave & his GF must shut their eyes at night & see pixels! :o

  • happy to report back that from first impressions my 58" seems fantastic, no marks, scratches or defects at all.
