    • I had the same, it arrived discharged at 0% and charged really quickly to begin with then slowed down. I'm not sure if the percentage displayed is correct as mine seems to decrease slowly when it has a lot of battery remaining and charging another device but decreases quickly when low percentage remaining.

  • I have got mine today. My observation so far:

Note 9 - Cable A (Powerbank) to C (Note 9) - Cable Charging at 5v averaging 1.7amp. It should have triggered Fast Charging 9v at 1.5amp. No matter I unplug and replug, it still refuse to activate Fast Charging. Note that setting is already at Fast Charging enabled in the mobile phone's setting. Spec NOT delivered as promised for this mobile phone.

Note 8 - Cable A to C - Fast Charging activated. 9v at 1.3amp. Spec delivered as promised.

Nintendo Switch - Cable A to C - Cable Charging activated. 5v averaging at 1.7amp. Spec delivered as promised.

Nintendo Switch - Cable C to C - Fast Charging activated. 12.2v averaging at 0.7amp max 0.8amp. Not sure if spec is delivered but Fast Charge is activated.

Yet to be tested. Note 9 Cable C to C.

All cables are OEM or Blitzwolf.

Haven't attempted to charge the powerbank as yet as I got it at 81%.

Upon reflection, I feel the ZMI powerbank is much simpler and always triggered fast charging although at what amps I wasn't sure but for mobile phone, it has always been fast like 45min to 1hr. For Switch, ZMI also seems to charge fast as well. All connection was A to C.

I actually looked into the S9 and there is an incompatibility with Samsung's latest iteration of their AFC. Previous models aren't effected.

As for the switch, Nintendo haven't followed the USB-PD protocol correctly so this image is normally used for the speed ratings. With this power bank being 18W USB-PD it's rated as Good+ from that image and your test has proven that.

Ah. 9v/2a is available with this powerbank. Wonder why the system (Switch) decides to go for 12v/1a instead.

As for S9/Note9 incompatibility, people just need to know I guess. 5v at 1.7a is not bad, but just an extra 30mins to charge to full from 0%.

        I hope this won't affect Note X.

For now, ZMI remains my favourite charger but well done OP for selling these. I do like them so far.

        • I'm getting 5V @ 1.1a on an s9+ tested on blitzwolf and Huawei cables. Is this a permanent incompatibility? Not a happy camper…

  • @clear - Any updates on stock?

    • Won't be for a long while

  • Hi OP,

I received mine and it doesn't fast charge on my S9+. I read above that there is an incompatibility? Can this be resolved or is it a hardware issue?

  • Won't charge laptops. Not the power bank's fault but I'm disappointed in it now. :(

    • Which model laptop was this?

      • +1

Dell Latitude and Precision, and a Lenovo T460 (I went round the office after the first one failed.)

        • +1

Considering that the precision models need 130w to charge at full rate, that's not surprising

    • +1

I can confirm it will charge Galaxy Book 12" at 12.2v with 1.5amps. That is exceeding 18w.

      • +1

My MacBook Pro 13 2016 is also charging at the same rate bizarrely.

        • Also my Lenovo ThinkPad 11e is charging whilst not in use slowly at 12v 0.2 Amps, really slowly but was not expecting for it to charge at all, so still happy with an overnight top up.

Nice form factor and hand feel for large capacity power bank with good usable features.

  • Hi Clear, any chance this Romoss 20000 will be back in stock soon? Cheers
Edit: Or potentially a new deal for this smaller one: https://www.amazon.com.au/ROMOSS-10000mAh-Portable-External-…
    Many thanks

    • AU is on hiatus with Romoss currently for a few weeks so there won't be any deals for a while. We're hoping for their new upcoming 28600mah power bank.

      • Thanks mate, I’ll keep an eye out

        • +2

No word on the new version but I should have the 20000mAh deal back tomorrow :)

          • @Clear: ohh YES

            buying 2 more this time

          • +1

@Clear: Thanks mate - I'll be grabbing one for sure.
