  • What's the catch vs the ZMI?

    • quality?

    • -1

      what's zmi?

romoss is a big brand with good products.

      ps:
found out what zmi is. zimi.

      • +1

There was a time when Romoss was the defacto standard in quality powerbanks…

        • +1

There was might be, but the two I have owned in the past failed within very short time, didn't feel that superior in any way.

          • @JimmyK: Really bad to read this after just ordering one :( Hope your experience was just a one-off

            • @barozgain: I have the ROMOSS Sense4 LCD and the PolyMOS 10S, had them both for almost 3 years since they came up as deals on OzB.

Neither one has missed a beat.

Bought this version 3 weeks ago since I was going overseas for six months.

        • exactly what i meant to say.

  • How do we get the free shipping? Have to sign up for Amazon prime?

    • +2

Add things to your order so the order is over $49. Or sign up for prime.

    • +1

I signed up for prime 30 day trial just then.

I will cancel prime after this order.

  • i dont have Amazon Prime
Am i missing something? i see a delivery fee

    Order Summary
    Items: $34.99
    Delivery: $4.99

Sorry mistake on my part as I have Prime, but you can use this trick for a 2 month trial.

      I've updated the title.

  • +1

Anyone used this brand before? Any good?

    • +1

I have used it before and it worked perfectly (Still is working perfectly years later)

    • +1

got one very old model for few years, still using np.

  • Thanks OP, ordered

  • +2

    No free shipping, unless prime.

    • +1

      That's what the title says

      • +3

Title was updated when I posted. See a few mentioned it to. :-)

  • Has anyone used this brand and can confirm it's good?

    • +1

Romoss deals have been around here since 2014 ;) Back then a lot of retail stores stocked Romoss.

      • mans keen for a commission eh? haha

        • +10

I don't get commission from these posts ;) Just pointing out that this is far from some generic brand.

      • +1

I don't see them on retail stores anymore.
Why have retailers stopped stocking them?

        • +5

Shifted to focusing online for the time being outside of China. So far a single post here can clear out hundreds of inventory within hours.

  • +1

    love me some [Tremendous Capacity]

  • +1

Crazy cheap, dunno why I spent almost $100 on a similar cygnett version 🤷‍♂️

Also very interesting it can use lightning as an input to charge

Edit: doesn’t seem like it does PD output, only input? Unless I’m reading it wrong

    • +5

      Type-C Output: 5V/3A, 9V/2A, 12V/1.5A (18W USB-PD

      18w usb pd output

  • Anyone with9ut Amazon prime wanna go halves on this deal for the free postage, or anyone with Amazon prime willing to help a brother out? (already used up my free trial)

    • Where are you located? I am Melbourne (Hawthorn)

      • Messaged you

    • +5

Just create a brand new email address,
sign up for an amazon account, and do the amz prime 30 day trial.
      Then cancel the trial.

Rinse and repeat every time you cancel the trial.

      • Thanks mate, that's exactly what I did!

  • +1

How does these compare to anker and xiaomi?

  • +2

Got one of these last time and the % is weird as. 0 to 50% feels like 10% of the battery and 51 to 100% can charge the phone plenty of times

    • +3

Sent you a PM regarding this as there is a 12 month warranty. Thanks :)

    • Mine seems to be the same, percentage remaining doesnt seem to be correct, goes down slowly to begin with then much quicker.

  • +1

    Thanks OP, got one.

  • +3

Been waiting for this since the 30,000mah deal. Thanks OP!

  • Does this allow me to get quick charge on my iphone if i use the USB c to lightning cable

    • +1

      Yes as it supports USB-PD.

      • how for away are the 30,000 unit from being on sale again, cheers

        • +2

Currently planning on how much stock to send to Aus. There is a 26800 version being manufactured.

          • +2

            @Clear: even better, TSA safe

            • @rokkz: Do they or any other customs check the sticker?

              • @whooah1979: My 20,000mAh got checked at the Royal Brunei check-in at Melbourne two weeks ago.

  • +1

Any idea if this could be used to charge Mavic air batteries?

    • Do you know what input volts/amps and cable type they accept?

      • Voltage
        11.55 V

        Max Charging Voltage
        13.2 V

        Max Charging Power
        60 W

It's not looking good from some forums I checked.

        • +1

Do they work with other USB chargers/power banks? Mavic could be using proprietary charging.

  • -3

Sounds like a great deal, almost too good to be true yet, unheard of brand for me so avoiding this one, plus i already have the 20k mah xiaomi bank.

  • Damn. Wish this had 45w output so I could charge my Surface Pro on the go.

    • What cable are you using for that?

      • There is an official cable for the newest surface model I believe

        • +1

Is it included with the Surface? Is it useable on older Surfaces? I have SP4.

          • @lostn: It is a separate adapter. Surface Connect to USB-C Adapter.
            Will work with SP4.
Needs minimum 27W or 12V to charge though.

          • +2

@lostn: No, not included. Check out https://jgotech.com/collections/usb-c-power-delivery-pd/prod…

Going from memory the surface design for the power cable is the same since forever, so yeah should work.

EDIT: Only order the cable. The powerbanks get rejected in Aus customs for some reason.

      • +1

Bought it from the US. It’s custom made by J-Go tech. Haven’t tested it yet but has positive feedback and the quality is as if Microsoft made it themselves.

        https://jgotech.com/collections/usb-c-power-delivery-pd/prod…

Edit: Only order the cable. The powerbanks get rejected by Aus customs for some reason.

        • +1

I spent so long looking for an aftermarket cable. Ended up buying the official adapter. Will buy one of these as a spare.

  • Thanks OP. Got 2 to avoid postage.

  • +1

Looks good. Very tempted. Problem is I have a million PBs already. And they just won't die. :/

Does Romoss include a carry pouch?

    • +8

not much difference between a million and a million + 1.

  • Anyone knows if it is possible to charge the batteries and at the same time the battery is connected to usb devices (specifically a RPi3?)

    • Pass through charging. Yes it can.

      • Can it do QC in both directions at the same time?

        • Good question! I'll put the question to Romoss to double check.

          • @Clear: Thanks!
I know that my Xiaomi can't do it but I don't know if it lacks the feature or if it is to prevent heat.

            • @spaceflight: Romoss' tech team have gone home for the night :/ but they will confirm tomorrow. I'm fairly certain it's the same as Xiaomi and will not fast charge both ways simultaneously.

              • @Clear: Whilst your asking questions, could you also find out what the ToTal Max Output is using 2 or 3 outputs at once?

  • Anyone knows how this would compare to Xiaomi for iPhone 7/8?

    • +3

      Xiaomi electrons are more compatible.

    • +3

With iPhone using 18W USB-PD for fast charging both brands with USB-PD are suitable :)

      • Hey mate, would this charger work with a USB-C to USB-C cable to charge my MacBook Air 2018 model at fast charging speed?

        Thanks :)

        • It will charge a Macbook Air but limited to 18W only with 30W being the recommended speed in a charger for the best speed.

          • @Clear: Ok, do you have a 30W power bank I can buy?

            • @Zazer: Nothing in Australia at the moment sorry.

              • @Clear: Ok, guess I'll just buy this then! Thanks for your help, and thanks for the great price :)

  • someone recommend me a good wireless powerbank for my new s10e =]

    • Don't use wireless, you'll have better battery health and longevity.

  • +2

Considering in China they sell at around $22. If you can get free delivery. It would be a good deal. Is this code accepted by cashback website? Cos otherwise the cashback would be $0

    • From my experience and dozens of others here at OzB coupons make no difference in tracking with the Amazon affiliate network (never has in my portal) so cashback companies will pay out.

      • Well that's good to know, maybe it's a little different on amazon. I tried Catch last time with an unapproved code. Transaction was tracked, but the cashback amount was $0. Via shop back I remember. Anyway even without CB, still a good deal.

        • Yes it's up to the merchant if the coupon will be honoured.

      • Not in my experience. You use a discount coupon, it won't track.

If you pay with a voucher, it won't track.

        • Unusual as all mine have worked. My fellow Amazon store reps also share cashback without issue.

That's cashback for ya though :P

    • -4

Upon checking JD.com, these are selling less than $20 in China. They don't offer overseas shipping though.

      • +4

Let alone AU stock or AU warranty. Wouldn't even be allowed to be posted.

      • seller has hidden overseas courier cost added, so resulting $27… but 27 bucks still good price

  • Are these any good? Can’t find them except on Ali express and amazon. Compared to the xiaomi which is thinner

    • Yes but I consider them heavy. So unless you really need that extra 100g of PD go with the Xiaomi.

  • +1

Thanks, didn’t need one but grabbed one
This will replace my 3 year old 10400 Romoss Sailing 4 powerbank which is still functioning perfectly

    • +1

That Romoss Sailing 4 was a classic. Good for another 3 years with some shared use ( as in not your only battery ) and some tlc.

  • How good would this be for Nintendo Switch ?
