I bought this in the last deal and can vouch for quality.

    • +3

      I second the motion!

    • +1

I second this too. I had the previous version (which was also good) and upgraded to this last time it went on sale.

    • +1

I second this too. Got one last time and amazed with the quality and fast charge

  • This thing is huge and plasticy but works a treat

    • I can only assume the PD circuitry is bigger and heavier (+100g!), prefer the 2C when travelling

      • Not really, the Kogan's black one is identical spec wise and 50g lighter despite Aluminium case (heavier than plastic). Doesn't have LED screen tho.

        • But not lighter than the 2C? Right?

  • +1

bought one last time and got rid of my old Mi power bank . This one is better with the display showing amp , volt etc which is very handy. The only difference with Mi power bank is that once you connect any device, you need to press the side button to charge. Otherwise it wont charge.

  • The pro 3 of Xiao no has 45w….seems m7ch bigger than this one? I don't even know what it means these numbers.

    • +6

That is also double the price so it depends on your needs. The Xiaomi 45W is more suitable if you're looking to charge say a Macbook while the Romoss is more than suitable for a USB-PD/QC 3.0 phone.

      • Cheers foe that. I'm using a Note 9. How about the imcompatibility? Still not fast charge 9 plus and Note 9?
Last comment from last post give a really good and clear review.

        • Seems that issue is still there unfortunately.

Any experts can explain the differences between this one and the Xiaomi one?

    • +1

That Xiaomi has no USB-C ports which means it's no good for USB-C devices (most new phones, switch etc.) and won't have USB Power Delivery fast charging.

      • thanks mate (I got this one last time and can vouch for quality) but was looking to get a second one as a gift

      • +9

The Xiaomi is also ~130g lighter than this one.

The Xiaomi will charge 'new phones' - USB-A to USB-C cables work fine for QC3.0 for up to 18W (same as this charger). The only thing it won't do is PD - and at 18W it's really just Nintendo Switch (It won't charge a laptop).

        • +1

Yeah I didn't actually say anything about QC 3.0 and the heavier weight is due to the fact that the Romoss has more ports and the addition of USB-PD.

At 18W it will charge laptops as was reported in the previous deal albeit slowly ;)

          • @Clear: Heh. Depends on the Laptop I guess.

My T470s refuses to take anything less than 45W.

            • @Fiximol: Seems a lot of Lenovo models are very pedantic about what they'll accept.

            • +1

@Fiximol: I'm very reluctant which one to get ahahha
              Adv of this one:
Tried it and can confirm good quality

Adv of other one: $4 cheaper + 130g lighter hmmm

              • +2

@barozgain: I have both the Xiaomi 20000mAh and this new Romoss, and although I like the Xiaomi, I prefer the Romoss for the

combined PD/QC3 features, port variety, nice curved solid build and the great readout gadget that is surprisingly

                practical.

If you need a larger capacity 20000mAh charger, get this and look for a thin light 6000mAh-10000mAh for

                portability.

          • +1

@Clear: This Charges my USB-C MacBook just fine. so can confirm

            • +1

@Evostar: Thanks for the feedback :)

            • @Evostar: What % does it charge to?

              • @sapsec: It was a while back tbh. So a bit hazy. My MacBook died so was at 0% I think it got to nearly 50. I’ll do a proper test if you’d like?

      • How about this compared to the ZMI Aura 20,000mAH?

I'm looking for a 20,000mAH as light as possible.

        Suggestions?

      • Type-C Output: 5V/3A, 9V/2A, 12V/1.5A (18W USB-PD)
        Blue USB Output: 5V/3A, 9V/2A, 12V/1.5A (QC3.0

        Same Volt and current.

        • Yes that's right. One is USB-C with USB-PD and the other is USB-A with QC3.0 (and others mentioned) so it's catering for both since they're not backwards compatible with each other.

    • The Xiaomi is not eligible for Amazon prime free delivery either.

      • Xiaomi is free delivery from Kogan using the code in the deal

  • One order with code per Amazon account

  • So these are good for charging the Nintendo Switch?

  • Is this device good to fast charge the s10 +

    • It won't fast charge the S10 as they changed their fast charging tech in the S9 and above.

      • Thanks for confirming. Does anyone know a product that does fast charge the S10?

        • I'd like to know this too!

        • Would love to know if there is a product to fast charge the S9!

        • Does anyone use this for a s10? If so, does it still charge quickly even though it is not fast charge? Finding it hard to work out what power bank I should be looking at getting for an upcoming trip overseas

      • What format does S9 and S10 use now? Do they have a proprietary charging standard? They used AFC before.

        • +1

          A newer revision of AFC.

  • +1

    Just purchased one! Many thanks:)

btw, which wall charger would you recommend to match this unit?

    • +2

Any USB-PD/QC3.0 charger would suffice. These ones go on sale quite frequently here.

  • +1

Anyone know if there are any smaller/lighter/lower_mAh ones (e.g. in the 4000 to 8000 mAh range) but which still do USB-C PD + USB-A (at least 5V/2.1A or more)?

  • Clear, any deal on desktop (5+ port) charger?

    • No USB chargers with Romoss unfortunately.

  • +3

Did I have a Xiaomi 3 Pro? Yes
Do I need another 20K power bank? No
Did I buy another 20K power bank? Yes

    Thanks OP!

    • +5

Power banks are like eneloops. You can never have too many! My count is at least 20 now.

    • +2

You will love this one to test out your charging performance/status readout, bit of geeky fun, but also useful too.

  • +1

Any deal for the 10000mAh one?

    • ^ this
I like to know as well thanks

  • I can't get free postage even spending over $49

and even when I order 2 (which is more than $49 after discount) it still wants to charge me $4.99 delivery.

I can get it delivered to say a Pharmacy 4 Less pickup point.

It even states on the item description page:
"Sold by Romoss AU Direct and Fulfilled by Amazon."

    • I believe the issue is because it may be 1 per account. Try with a completely different product to see if that will change. I have Amazon Prime so I can't actually test that myself.

      • Why does it state "In stock.
Sold by: ROMOSS (HONGKONG)TECHNOLOGY Co., LIMITED"
and then won't deliver to my address?

        The discount works on 2.

        • Sorry I'm trying to troubleshoot the issue with you so we can work out what the actual problem is. Sometimes Amazon incorrectly says certain addresses are unavailable and their live chat need to fix it.

Does it say it will deliver with just 1 in your cart? Will it deliver if you were to have 1 and then something else bringing the total over $49?

Clear, any deal for the 30000MAh?

    • +1

Yes that'll be on sale in the coming weeks.

      • will there be any deal for the 10000Mah? Thanks

    • +4

I believe the 30000 isn't allowed on planes without prior approval

  • Is this any good for iPhones? I got Xs Max.

    • +1

Yeah it'll benefit from the USB-PD with a USB-C to Lightning Cable.

  • Does this do pass through charging? Can I use it as a UPS for my raspberry pi?

    • I covered that in the description. It will passthrough.

  • I'll give it a go….

  • Hi guys, what about pixel 3, could this fast change that?

    • Pixel 3 is using USB-PD so it'll fast charge.

  • Thanks Clear. Grabbed another!

  • +2

Got one. $2 cashback bonus from Shopback sweetened the deal even further.

  • +1

Ahh so good, thanks for putting this back on, for the features this price is unbeatable.

  • thanks op bought one! +1

  • and stackable with your favourite cashback provider.

You sure about this? The coupon code does not appear on SB or CR.

    • Amazon Associates pays out on seller coupons usually.

      • Been two days since my order. Still not tracked with Shopback. I don't hold high hopes. It's never tracked for me when using a promo, or even a credit voucher / gift card.

Can't even chase it up, because they will ask if you used any codes and I will have to tell them yes. Since they said they won't pay if any unlisted codes are used, they have covered themselves against any inquiries.

        • i've got mine minutes after the dispatch email from amazon.

          • @PissLUR: Did you use CR or SB?

            • @lostn: shopback. has your order been dispatched yet?

              • @PissLUR: I received it Thursday already.

  • Hi Associate,

So it appears this will be OK to charge USB-C laptops in most cases? I really like all of the inputs, including the lightning port.
What is the advantage of the 30,000mha model over this besides the additional charging? Will you drop the price on the 30,000mha model today?

    • It's okay for most laptops depending on their spec, but ideally you'd want something with 30W or above. 30000mAh is just the increased storage capacity and there will be no discount today for that one. Need more stock to arrive first.

  • Does it rapidcharge pixel 2? The USB out is only type A, unsure so asking…

    • USB-C port will fast charge the Pixel 2 via USB-PD.

  • Are powerbanks the new Eneloops? I have six powerbanks in the house and read the specs on this one for a while before stopping myself and saying "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?". LOL

    • Eneloops are essentially battery… so yes…

  • +1

Anyone know where to get cheap usb c cables?

  • -2

    Be careful of this brand.
There's several catching fire incident happened in China.
The recent incident happened 13 April, a Romoss OM10 caught fire in an university student's bag.
A tester disassembled Romoss power banks. There's no overheat protection in it like other brands.
I'm not sure about this model. But I would never buy a Romoss.

  • How does this compare to the Xiaomi Power Bank 3 pro?

  • Just sent you an email in amazonau but I guess I can ask here, I thought all Romoss product come with a warranty/activation code to test if product is legit or not, but I dont see any code anywhere.

    • I'm not a direct Romoss employee as such so I can't see anything sent through Amazon, but they have acknowledged your email and will reply.

  • Any USB-PD wall plugs that you recommend? Does this company make any?

  • I received it today.

It came with 71% charge out of the box. I plugged in my 65W PD charger and left it charging for an hour. It still says 71%. What gives?

Is the 65W PD charger considered too powerful and the power bank decided not to receive any charge from it?

  • received mine today, 75% charged out of the box.

Charging via USB-C PD and getting 9V, 2A.

having the screen is quite handy to see what the stats are

  • OP I ordered one but today I saw this:

    https://www.amazon.com.au/ROMOSS-30000mAh-Portable-Charging-…

Any chance of a deal on the 30,000 mAh ?

    • +1

Deal on that one will be coming soon.

  • Charging the power bank via official iPhone cable and charger, I get only between 0.5 and 0.9A FYI.
