  • Hmm no love for the echo show…

  • -2

Some of these are dupes from other deals

    • Then report it.

The individual prices went live 12 midnight this morning and the prices for 2x only at that since last nights deal started.

      • How did you get the show deal to work it doesn’t seem to work.

        • Was only Spot and Echo, but appears Amazon expired the 2 for x deals which has fixed the double up. Something to look out for with their deals though I've had happen a couple of times. There was the $18 Echo Dots back around Prime Day last year for instance if you added the case or something which was on cheap.

          • @deelaroo: yeah sorry meant the spot (was thinking about the show :) )

  • +4

    Geez kindles are expensive.

Aus Post had the older Paper white 3 for $79 (not now though), kindle paperwhites are usually around $150 on sale.
The 10th Gen Waterproof one higher around $160 (last ebay sale from good guys) for an 8gb, this is a 32gb version. But who the heck needs that much space on a book reader.

This sale excludes the 8gb version.

      • +3

Yeah 32gb is ridiculous. I have 300 books on my kindle and it has only hit 900mb of usage.

    • +3

I thought this is the price for two :-(

    • +2

I can't believe how complicated the Kindle range is! So many different 'generations' and then generations within generations.. Honestly they need to work out a simpler naming system…
From what I gathered (for $139) the new Kindle (standard, not paperwhite) is coming out in a couple of days which also includes lights for reading in the dark - apparently only the Paperwhite variant has had lighting in the past

      • +3

You should see what they are doing for USB now…

  • How's the audio in a spot compared to a dot? Will I still need speakers if I'm just quietly listening to some Spotify?

    • +1

Pretty much the same. Not terrible just lacking depth and lower end. You definitely wouldn’t buy one if you wanted to enjoy listening to music.

      • +1

They both have a 3.5mm port(or bluetooth) though, so you can connect some nicer speakers if you want the functionality but prefer better sound.

When is Amazon going to do the Fire Tablets in Australia?

  • Hey ozB crew. Can anyone tell me how friendly Amazon speakers such as the Echo are with the Apple enviro?

  • Echo Spot Shows as $298 for 2 at check out. :/

    • Same I can’t get the promo added at checkout, anyone figure it out?

  • Purchased a 4k Fire stick for 39USD from Target US during a recent visit - and it turned out to be the best android based tv stick available.
Have used nexus player and a mi box in the past and they have both have been super buggy.

  • The push to have us all bug our own homes makes me want to fill up and old ipod so I can stop being spied on just to listen to music

  • Maybe this needs a little rewrite as most of the deals aren't working…

  • +2

Thanks OP I jumped on this before the pricing error was corrected and go 2 x echos for $99. That’s an OzBargain!

    • Thanks OP from me too! Scored 2 Echoes for $99, $4.50 CR pending also, that have now shipped!

    • Glad to hear helped some others out. Ozbargain way just hit buy don't think.

  • The problem with that in your bedroom, the camera can be turned on by other users you are linked to. Better to tape that small eye. Officeworks is selling it for that same price.
