Is this one of those mattresses that you won't really feel it when another person in your bed tosses and turns at night?

    • +1

Not 100% sure, but can confirm it is true for King that we bought from them 1/2 year ago

    • +1

I have the black label, I would say you'll still feel it but barely, muted. If you're awake, you'll definitely know.

    • +14

when another person in your bed tosses

      Tmi mate =p

    • It's spring and has less foam than others so you will notice it.

Pocket springs reduce the partner disturbance. Foam reduces it even further. If you have springs, you will still notice it to an extent.

    • I’ve recently owned both this in a King and a Sleeping Duck in a King size, and the Sleeping Duck is the mattress where you’ll have no idea whether someone else is in the bed with you. It’s that kind of mattress the marketing department put a wine glass on one side and a person jumping into bed on the other and the glass doesn’t move. Compared to Sleeping Duck, Zzz has way less foam, so you won’t sink into it and you will feel partner disturbance.

  • Is Zzz Atelier eBay really good?

    • +10

Zzz Atelier eBay really good, can't be said the same about their delivery company.

      • +3

Is it still Hunter Couriers? Absolutely woeful. When I got my mattress they came on a day that I explicitly told them not to come via phone call, then they would not come again until I paid some new delivery fee. Luckily ZZZ covered this, but they told me they would only cover it once. Really stupid system.

      • can't be said the same about their delivery company.

Any tracking so that I will know when to wait for them to come?

        • +2

Hunter Couriers are terrible not only in delivery, but also in notifications. They didn't deliver on delivery day according to their own tracking, the next day no one was home so they left parcel near the door. I got message from them, they could not deliver, contact us… Terrible

        • Normally how long it will take for them to deliver?

      • My husband and I have had this mattress for over a year and love it.

      • +1

Yes I concur. ATL instructions were leave at front door.. they couldn't take it up two small steps to leave it under cover so they just left it out in the open. Good thing it didn't rain.

      • They refused to carry the mattress up 1 small flight of stairs to our actual apartment. My partner did it alone because they don't like confrontation, and hurt their back.
Absolutely insist they carry it to the actual delivery address.

Mattress itself has been awesome. I am a light sleeper and don't wake up from partner disturbance - as others have said, if you're awake you'll know, but it shouldn't wake you. I have slept deeper, and had less pain (I have a pain disorder) since we got our black label king.

there are a bunch of prev deals for these guys .. my opinion from reading them recently is that the OzB community support and feedback is overwhelmingly positive.

Check out a few earlier deals + comments here :

Plus many others. On basis of these reviews, I purchased King size just last week. have not slept on it yet though due to new carpet laying in my bedroom :)

Also, various opinions on the delivery company that appears to be used for a lot of their shipments, Hunter. The Hunter driver that delivered my king size was very friendly and helpful - so it's definitely a matter of YMMV..

      • +1

Hunter express spend too much time punching on and not enough time delivering our matresses

        • clearly that guy's an idiot - but as I said, mileage varies, and thankfully my experience was aligned with other shipping companies I have used. No complaints from me. Hopefully others dont get hit or treated poorly :(

        • The guy who delivered my mattress just came in a toyota camry lol. Very helpful guy too as he lifted it in my car for me.

      • +1

We purchased the Queen from the previous deal - can definitely recommend - very comfortable to sleep on (Soft to medium feel).

      • There are also hundreds of positive reviews on eBay and Product Review.

    • +1

I like mine, it is firm, but not too hard, I like it!

    • +2

It's okay. I often chime in on ZZ atelier about their product being untested long term, and I am finding that after around 10 months our bed is starting to sag when I lie on it, more than I remember it sagging at first. I'm not super heavy, only around 84kgs which fits well within the healthy range for my height, and my wife weighs much less than I do.

When it comes to a guest room though, I would not hesitate to buy this mattress. It is comfortable and cheap.

  • Thanks! Ordered one.

Ordered Super Firm Queen for $215.20, these sold out pretty quickly in previous sales. it has very good reviews, today it shows 7 available.

  • Does anyone know what kind of base is good with this mattress?

    • This is sold by ZZZ Atelier as well :
      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-SCANDI-Queen-Double-King-Sin…

So likely your best fit/match .. but i believe anything that conforms to the same standards of slat width etc, is likely to be fine and shouldnt hit your warranty.

Have been waiting awhile for King size to come back in stock though. Seems decent price too.

      • +1

the warranty is fairly specific, slat spacing/gap must be less than the width of the slats and I've found most cheaper frames the gap is wider, I got a cheaper frame, but was expecting this and modified it to suit my needs anyway

        • Can i ask how you modified it, I bought one of the cheap ebay bed frames with the large spaced slats and Im pretty sure its slowly ruining my mattress and sleep quality on it.

          • +1

@Caml: I don't know how Trantor did it, but I'll share mine if you like. My slat gap was just slightly too large. Because it the one I received is a pocket spring mattress, and the springs seem to be about 60mm diameter, it's important that they don't drop into a gap.

I bought some dressed hardwood garden stakes, 19x19x1800, and trimmed them to length and then laid then between the slats. My slats were around 70mm apart, so I didn't need to close them up much. My slats are ~18/19 mm thick, so this was a really great and cost effective option.

On a previous bed I replaced all of the weak springy slats with 90x35 pine timber. Nice and solid. Much better for sleeping on, and what I thought was a saggy mattress turned out to be just a saggy bed.

How you modify your bed depends on its construction. If it has rails that the slats sit on, easy, just find a good size timber. If it doesn't, you might be able to attach rails, but you're starting to get into difficult territory.

          • @Caml: I put the slats, made from plywood, that came with it, at a 30mm gap, instead of the 60mm+ gap, i put half towards the top end of bed, other half towards the bottom, and in the gap a piece of MDF, same thickness, where most the weight would be, I also did a general strengthening down the middle of the bed, worked well! :)

      • King size seems to be in stock. Just ordered one. $69 delivery to metro WA

        • king size frame, or mattess?
If frame, pls send me link! :)

    • +1

We have ours on this https://www.factoryfast.com.au/p/queen-metal-bed-frame-bedro… sort of thing, available on eBay also, no complaints. But we haven't had it long.
When searching for a cheap option I really liked this company https://www.amazon.com.au/Zinus-Modern-Metal-Platform-Frame/… this one is half price still (as per deal on ozb the other day).

Edit: just to clarify the reason I didn't go with Zinus was that the king size base wasn't available and we needed a king. Otherwise, I loved the base and would have purchased it sale or no. If they stock king size in future I am likely to switch to them.

  • Is quality better than Aldi?

    • I've not seen the Aldi so can't compare, but this looks and feels as good as any mattress I've ever brought and I needed zero "getting use to it" stage

    • I have both and I can say yes for comfortable and durable.

      • Excellent, thanks :)

    • I have tried both, appreciate mckim's experience but I have found it hard to tell the difference. I would have thought it's unlikely someone would have to choose between the two given Aldi is only available once per year.

  • +1

I'm enjoying the Queen so far. Solid upgrade. Solid sleep.

Delivery was a day earlier than their stated time which I shouldn't complain about, however I would have preferred it delivered as per the proposed delivery schedule.

    • Lol first time ever I've heard someone complain about something delivered earlier than expected

  • Thinking of getting the the double or queen size, we currently have a memory foam mattress. I move around pre sleeping and while sleeping, but since it's a memory foam, my wife doesn't really feel I'm moving. Seeing this is a spring mattress, anyone have any experience about this issue? Does it disturb your partner?

    • We have a king and I don't really feel my partner move and I'm a light sleeper BUT I feel as though this may be due to the size. We had a very firm double with a latex topper before this, and I couldn't feel the disturbance from the bed, but just from proximity. Unless you're both very slender try to spring for the largest size you can, if disturbance is an issue.

  • +2

Anybody with a year+ experience using one of their queen mattresses? What's the verdict?

    • +1

Have owned for about a year, very well made matress, slight sagging is apparent but the main issue for us is it feels quite hot during summer. It doesn't dissipate body heat as much as other matresses we've had. Brilliant for winter though.

  • Just curious what's the difference between this one queen for $215 and $247?
I mean: Queen Double King Single Mattress Bed Euro top Pocket Spring Latex Chiropractic vs QUEEN Mattress *5 Zone Pocket Spring Mattress Latex Foam EuroTop *Chiro Endorsed

Doesn't matter, one of previous posts here suggested they are the same, just marketing.

  • fml literally bought this last week for $260

      • +7

        hands in badge cries

    • Still a great deal.

      • yeah i don't regret it. its bloody heavy though.

  • Have seen these deals quite often over the past few months. Finally bit the bullet and bought an ultra firm queen. Thanks!

    • How are you liking the ultra firm?

  • +1

Bought this last deal, king size. 60kg in a box was fun getting up the stairs but not as much fun as getting the old unboxed one down the stairs.

Mrs and I are very happy 2 weeks in. Being 6"5 an 108kg i'll be interested to see how long it lasts. Ours was 6.5 firmness and feels great. Sides weren't too much of a problem as others have commented on in the past.

In saying that my last Seally matress cost $5k and we got 6 years out of before it really became misshaped. If i get 2 years on this i'm laughing.

  • Any comments on delivery time?

Might not matter? Only King still in stock

    • i got mine 2 days after placing the order last week

    • got mine 3 days earlier than estimated. Total time was like 1 week between order and delivery

  • I got this from last deal, I already throw away my 7 yrs old 3000 dollar mattress.
    200 dollars for a queen…. bargain.

  • +1

anyone can give me some input. about to buy it however have a query about the thickness of the matress

it says its 34cm. my current mattress is 24cms.

is it really that much thicker?
how do fitted sheets fit on these then?

    • I bought some sheets in kmart and fits just fine.

    • Yes it is that much thicker, if your base can't be adjusted you will be lying higher and will notice it straight away, not that it's a problem though. Sheets fit fine. For the price this is an excellent buy!

      • thanks guys

  • Any word on how quickly they will ship, as in before it's dispatched? I'm in WA for reference.

    • +1

Someone else in WA who ordered several hours after me already has a delivery date locked in. I've still not received anything from them.

      • Do you know how much they charge to post to WA

        • $69 for delivery to WA

          • @Gabehcoud: how to pay the delivery to WA you know?

  • I'm trying to order a King Single but the "PEACE code is not working for me.
Added the item to my cart, applied the coupon and got the message that the code cannot be applied.

  • Want to know can they delivery to WA too and how much

    • +1

Yes they deliver WA, cost $69 and will be added to your total cost at checkout on eBay. Discount codes do not apply to shipping/freight costs.
Took just under 2 weeks to get to WA.

  • Appreciate if someone can give me some input about the quality of this matress and the one with similar price from ikea:
    https://m.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/art/50352981/

  • just bought the super firm in double and hopefully it gets here fast. my current mattress is the ikea hafslo in "firm" which is like sleeping on top of a wooden plank with absolutely no cushioning or pressure relief, i can feel the springs at times and i can't stand it anymore and i actually dread getting into bed at the end of the day. i want something supportive but not Concrete hard. my fear is that i'll be sweaty & overheat… we'll see.

    • +1

Should come reasonably fast, mine did and I live in melbourne too, and they are shipped from melbourne

      • +1

Also in Melbourne. I ordered Sunday morning and it came Tuesday morning.

  • +1

Normally how long it will take deliver to Sydney?

  • I hope the double is back in stock soon :)

    Edit: it is
