Logitech M720 Triathlon Bluetooth Wireless Mouse $49 @ JB Hi-Fi

110

Finally got the price I was looking for (near about). Not the cheapest it has been but not a bad price I think. Picked up one from Officeworks for $46.55 after a price beat.

Dual connectivity via Logitech Unifying and Bluetooth® Smart technology
Easy-Switch technology to seamlessly switch between 3 computers
Eight buttons

  • How does this compare with an Anywhere 2s?

    • I swapped from the Anywhere 2s to one of these. The main reason was the size. I know the Anywhere 2s is supposed to be a travel mouse, so it's a bit smaller, but it's a fair bit smaller than its predecessor and I find it really hard to hold for long periods of time. I'm more holding it with my fingertips. This was bigger and an easier fit in my hand and wasn't quite as ridiculously big as the Master 2s which would have been another candidate. The only thing I would have liked to see was usb charging, but that's just a nitpick.

      • Usb charging and rechargeable battery would jacked up price

I was quite disappointed with the M720 Triathlon.

I bought 3 for work and we use them in several boardrooms, however not only do they not live up to their claimed 24 month battery life (try 24 days if you're lucky), they have a rather measly range (1.5 metres maximum from what I've seen) and even when they're used at shorter distances they continuously and unpredictably drop-out and simply stop sending any inputs to the connected PC. This occurs via both Bluetooth and the Unifying Receiver. Sometimes the issue is resolved by simple disconnect/reconnect but other times it persists for so long we end up falling back on a cheap OEM wireless mouse that works.

I am using one for work everyday and never ever had it drop out once (using the receiver).

Same battery has been inside for over 6 months and still going strong….

I'm using one right now, been for last 9 months 8 hours a day at least (for CAD work). Haven't had a single drop out (using the unifying receiver). Haven't changed the battery once.
      It's a great mouse.

Maybe you just got some bad stock.

He is probably holding them wrong too, right? lol

never had a problem with mine.

    • Sounds like the distance is the issue and causing the mouse to work harder to keep connection and drain battery

  • Have had one for two or three months, been great - no issues whatsoever.

Love being able to switch devices with the click of a button

  • I had to get one from tgg as they dropped stocking mx anywhere. Have yet to try

  • I have one for a couple of months now. It works really well with my Linux machine. But my Macbook doesn't connect to it sometimes so I have pair them again. Not sure what's wrong with it.

Logitech uses either Logitech Options or Logitech Gaming, depending on the model of mouse. Regardless of the software, you can try removing your mouse from the configuration utility, restarting the Mac, and then adding the mouse back again.
hope that fixes the issue once and for all, and you won't have to pair it again.

I guess,(as a linux user) you may have done all the steps above before.

  • I got this in the computer alliance logitech keyboard/mouse version. Great mouse

  • Good mouse but unapologetically slack software security. By that I mean they knowingly left mine and other users' systems with an unpatched critical vulnerability for months.

  • this is a good price for it, and this is how much I paid about a month ago. I love the mouse and it's my favourite bealting any other Logitech mouse out there.

  • using mine since 2017. iirc, the original battery supplied lasted for several months. now i just run it on leftover batteries from my other high-drain devices to squeeze as much juice from them as possible.

for a non-travel mouse, it's still small enough to use on the road but not uncomfortably so.

and i love the turbo scroll button
