I guess that makes sense with XB1 as the free games stop working anyway when the Gold subscription expires unlike XB360 where you got to keep the game. I still own my XB360 but I get that it's quite old.
I've pre-bought 3 years of game pass. Do you know if Live will be included with game pass in this case?
The rumour as I heard it, is that Game Pass and Live Gold will be bundled into one package for 15USD per month. Which is the same price as purchasing them separately. So no bearing on anything.
Not quite right. The offical “rumour” is that live and game pass will be merged as one product. You won’t be able to get one without the other long term. Initially they will offer three products : Live, Game pass and the bundle but they will announce that the individual products will be phased out all together.
$14.99Usd is a $5 saving on buying the two products individually (monthly) as they currently cost $9.95USD per month each.
Resident Evil 5 is my favourite co-op game (I have about 6 copies) but if this is the HD version then I hope they fixed it. I had it ages ago and the input lag was utterly atrocious. I hardly made it 15 min in before I couldn't handle it and made them refund me.
Damn, that's hardcore, I've only got 3 or 4 myself (PS3, Xbox, 2 on PC). I too love the coop aspect. Didn't feel quite right in RE6.

I've played what I'm interested in, but another Walking Dead, another Resident Evil, and the new Monster Hunter game are all in all pretty decent pulls for the service. Happy for anyone who's not played them before.

OTOH, I don't get monster hunter at all. Although I've only ever played it on Nintendo systems. I really hated it - regretful purchase.
Super popular game, I just can't get into it (probably the grind)
I tried the latest version demon on the Switch and found the loading screens as you go into different areas jarring. I will give this one a try on Game Pass, I think it is more of an open world from what I have seen/read

awesome. first episode was good but i didnt feel like buying the game.
Is LiS2 as good as the first?
Had a good time with the Missus playing through it.
i played through the first episode without breaks so that should tell you its decent, it has a real nice story that i could relate to. i wanted to play more of it but i also wanted to wait until all episodes are out before i buy it. i did like the new characters by the end of the first episode. first one and the other game were great and trying to convince gf to play them but shes only into lego games atm.

Rumour has it at E3 this year Xbox will announce that Game Pass will be included with Xbox Live Gold for a new combined price
They saying $14.99USD is what is expected.
once the merger happens, the free monthly games will stop as you will have access to the entire Games Pass library.
