    The battery life isn't great compared to some previous models.

    18 hours with GPS at these prices, nup.

      It's not for everyone.

      I use the 5S Plus which has the smallest battery, but lasts long enough for my runs and rides.

      • Yep depends what you need it for.

        • what are you doing that needs 18 hours straight gps tracking? there are lower power modes

            @fertiliser: 18 hour and 1 minute runs.

            @fertiliser: Running events that go for longer than 18 hours, some of which are in terrain which doesn't suit ultra trac mode.

            • @shbshb: All this gratuitous talk about running is making me tired.

    • That 18hrs is if you have GPS turned on. Which means if you are running for continuous 18 hours. There're low power modes for trekking and stuff. I usually go more than 7 days in a straight while doing 3-4 days of morning runs. And mine is 5X, not the plus.

  • Thanks for posting! Been looking for a deal on these for ages.. just went and tried one on at Rebel, but unfortunately the 5X is just that bit too big :(

  • Great spot. Wish I could afford one. 645 Music doing me well though.

  • So is the main difference between the 5x and 5s just the overall size? seems like the display size is the same?
