  The battery life isn't great compared to some previous models.

    It's not for everyone.

    I use the 5S Plus which has the smallest battery, but lasts long enough for my runs and rides.

        what are you doing that needs 18 hours straight gps tracking? there are lower power modes

          @fertiliser: Running events that go for longer than 18 hours, some of which are in terrain which doesn't suit ultra trac mode.

    That 18hrs is if you have GPS turned on. Which means if you are running for continuous 18 hours. There're low power modes for trekking and stuff. I usually go more than 7 days in a straight while doing 3-4 days of morning runs. And mine is 5X, not the plus.

  So is the main difference between the 5x and 5s just the overall size? seems like the display size is the same?
