On their instagram account, MasterCard said they'll be at Central Station, Bondi Junction Station and Manly Wharf. Good luck at those three places! Wonder if you can tap at more than one location for the cards.

Edit: taps at multiple locations with same card confirmed to work.

Edit again: debit MasterCard works too lol

I managed to get 2 gifts card using the same mastercard (Bondi junction and Central).

It seems that they don't have a way to check if your card has already tap.

Second card was a 20$ iTunes gift card.

I don't even understand the commercial reason for MasterCard to promote themselves.

They don't actually issue cards ( only American Express does, as far as I know ). You are stuck 'stuck' with them if whatever bank your with issues Mastercard.

No one picks a bank based on whether they get MasterCard or Visa ( assuming people are rational ) so why do they do advertising?

And I work at a bank ( just no where near the payments and cards areas ).

  Most people have all three, Visa, Master and AMEX. If Mastercard can make them the primary card to put in their wallet and actually use it for everyday purchase, they get more revenue from transactions.
