it's a good price, but after GoDaddy's owner publicly hunting elephants in Africa, I'm not going to touch them on principal

TIL that some people say dido instead of ditto. How quaint.

Ditto, a Transform Pokémon. It is able to rearrange the cells of its body and assume any form. Its only attack is Transform.

This is pretty much the only reason these kind of offers exist. They're desperate to drum up business after their CEO revealing himself to be a doucebag of epic proportions.

postive because of godaddy's owner publicly hunting elephants in africa

next thing you know someone is going to neg tuna specials because the bears have had thier food stolen, you know, on principle?

    • +1

Comments like this dont deserve the time of day for us to even read them, do you think before you type?

      • clearly the point sailed over you head…

        • +1

          whatever….

        • +2

Where are these bears that eat tuna?
I think you are getting confused with salmon - but what has that got to do with some ****er shooting an elephant for no reason?

Whatever = a self defeated reply

          Nice pic up ukmark Lol

next thing you know someone is going to neg chocolate because the tuna have their food stolen, you know, on principle?

          There that makes more sense!

The point didnt sail over my head, I understand what you are saying, but in this case the good citizens of Ozbargain have the right to know what their hard earned dollars are driving. You may be helping fund an ego maniac conduct senseless slaughter of gentle giants.

Condone it or try justify it anyway you want, I really dont care what you think.

        • greydaniel, considering your neg vote is a reply to my comment, i think you do care what I think:D

    • +1

Its just because I have to have a comment to vote neg, and it might as well be in response to your dribble. Cant neg this company enough.

Anyone that supports this company has a right to, but in doing so the true colors of individuals shine through and this is a great example! Good for you.

And of course you will have to have the final say, so consider this my last post on the topic.

Great community spirit you have, being to lazy to post a constructive neg! It's ok you already lost:d

Just FYI, this promo code only works for ONE domain name.

  • +2

GoDaddy is a scam if you search for domains and dont register them then sometimes they will squat on your domain
also these turds are know for releasing private whois data altavista or bing it yall

    • Where do you get your information from? Just misinformation spreading.

also i have typed some Very obscure domains in that were Never registered before
then 'poof' domains were paid for and held for ransom prices $1500ish

godaddy sucks, plain and simple. Had hosting with them and it failed miserably… i know these are domain names but they do NOT deserve any business

  • +1

Important info left out is that you need to purchase overpriced add-ons for this "deal":

Personalized Email: Get fast, personalized email for yourself, your team or the whole office. Deluxe (1 yr): A$2.35/mo

Easy Site Builder: Creating your own professional-looking website is as simple as point and click. Hosting included. Economy (1 yr): A$4.24/mo

Reliable Hosting: Fast. Secure. Affordable. Trust GoDaddy.com to keep your website up and running! Economy (1 yr, Linux): A$3.77/mo

All of these negate the $1.99 domain value.

    • +6

No, you don't. You just click "no thanks" on each page.

  • +2

and that automatic "extras" feature that kicks in after you sign up that you then have to shut off immediately otherwise you get slugged $5 a month for it.

    • Again there is no need to add in the "extras" you can just click No to them all.

  • It's a good idea to transfer within the year because GoDaddy will hit you with a renewal fee of 18 to $25 for a com org net domain

There is clearly a whole bunch of negative votes in here that aren't worthy. I've reported them to the mods for their action. As a community we should be encouraging people to post deals, not to promote the fear of getting negged from posted deals. I haven't seen a proper argument as to why this deal is bad, except for maybe the fact that renewal of the domain will cost abit more. This is easily circumvented by MOVING your domain away from GoDaddy. That and the fact that GoDaddy isn't obliged to provide you with good prices after your first year.

    Taken from the posting guidelines:

"If the deal doesn't apply to you, you don't like the company, you want to leave a warning for people about the business or deal, you might want to leave a comment and then not vote."

"In essence the negative vote is a warning. A warning about being a scam, spam, defective product or a better deal exists already."

Had to give this a +1 because I really liked the hunting video after searching for it (never knew about it until reading the neg comments). The village people got to eat some meat and save their crops so I'm happy for them. Plus it's a cheep deal so all around a good post!
