Singapore Airlines are having a multi-flight/round the world deal departing New York starting at $1131 USD
I know this deal isn't departing from Australia but for those wanting to travel around the world and are looking to clock up some Krisflyer miles this could be a steal.
Don't quote me but I believe this fare provides 50% mileage accrual.

There are two versions of the itinerary, which are below

New York to Frankfurt to Denpasar (Bali) to Singapore to Tokyo to Los Angeles to New York
New York to Frankfurt to Denpasar (Bali) to Singapore to Hong Kong to San Francsico to New York

Flight deals were found via Skyscanner.

This deal seems like a bit of a pain. If you were able to start from Bali, it would be a lot easier. I'm not seeing this as a good deal considering all the caveats.

But this is australia, we dont care about USD

  • I really want to go,but do you have any deal for me to go to NYC from MEL?

  • +2

And pay another $1,000 to get to the US? How is this a deal?

      ^ This.

No point in having a city on the complete opposite side of the world as the start and end point.

This is OzBargain, not NYCBargain. It'll cost you at least that much to get there, negating the 'deal'.

  • Yes, be great to have some World tour trips from Australian cities…

  • The link now shows A$3970 so I presume it was an error?

    • Gaz, it's not an error flight. It still works for me and is coming in at $1099 USD. I believe I'm unable to add links (as its a 3rd party link) but if you go to my website chaupapa.co and click on the itinerary you'll see it for $1099 USD or $1536 AUD

      • Still doesn't work for me.
Using the links on your website I get:
        https://www.skyscanner.com.au/transport/d/nyca/2019-08-13/fr…
        US$2222

        https://www.skyscanner.com.au/transport/d/nyca/2019-08-13/fr…
        US$2882

You can cut & paste links into a reply below if you beleive you can still see the original prices.

        • Gaz, maybe try clearing your cookies and cache as I just checked again and it's dropped to $1100.
I uploaded a screenshot for you to view - https://chaupapa.co/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/skyscaner-con…
After clearing your cookies/cache try clicking on the original link in Chau Papa (the link above the Skyscanner screenshot).

          Cheers!

          • @Onthehuntfordeals: Interesting.
Clearing cookies/cache made no difference & that set of flights actually doesn't show up at all.
The solution I found was to change from skyscanner.com.au to skyscanner.com
This is trickier than it sounds because skyscanner geolocates back to skyscanner.com.au
Anyway, when I forced it to skyscanner.com the flights appeared at US$1131.
            Worth remembering for future searches!
Thanks for your help in sorting this out.
