  • my local thai at gordon usually only costs about $15-$20 a person normally. but I might try this place out anyway to see what its like with this deal.

    • Im heading to Gordon this week too….any specific Thai place you suggest in Gordon?

I always go to Gordon Thai consistently best value and friendly service. The mains only cost about $10-$11 max each. the staff offer you unlimited rice and to end the meal you get oranges and after dinner chocolate. nice place to go!

That new one on the corner (forgot the name) is also good. Went there for lunch. more expensive though. lunch special is about $11 if you go at lunchtime and includes a can of drink.

I couldn't work out how they got to $80 value so called them. The wording should not state "ANY Two Mains" as it does not include the "Chef's Recommendation" menu with all the expensive (and nice) items. Furthermore on the deal site under the Chef Recommendations tab, they show pictures of some of the food which is not included in the deal and a whole menu which is not included, which adds to the confusion. When we spoke to their staff, even they could not get near $80 when adding the most expensive item of each course. I'll stick with the deals that say $X worth of ANY food for $Y.

  • glad I decided not to buy it then. doesnt sound like very good value anyway.
