R5 2600 RTX 2080 + 27" AOC Monitor Bundle: $1699 / R5 RX 580: $699 Delivered @ TechFast (+ Free Wi-Fi USB)

170

Hi all,

After a hiatus to clear our backlog which we have successfully done, we are back!

And the good news is that with the backlog cleared systems will ship inside a week - this Easter/ANZAC week makes next week a little weird working days wise, but it is literally first order in, first out as of today. You'll see some changes to our business model and practices. We're reviewing our participation in the bigger 20% eBay discounts due to the way they're structured and we'll be back live there soon, but it won't be a focus for us (read: crazy eBay deals probably won't be a thing).

Our best deals going forward will be via the website direct, which works better for us overall and we're still committed to being lowest in market.

I have two deals accessible through these links only. There's only limited to 30 units each.

Ryzen 5 2600 / RTX 2080 8GB / 8GB DDR4 2400Mhz / 120GB SSD / 750W PSU / A320M mobo / 27" AOC Monitor / Keyboard+Mouse + Free WiFi USB: $1699

RTX 2080 will almost certainly be the MSI Ventus as we have them on hand.

Ryzen 5 2600 / RX 580 / 8GB DDR4 2400MHz / 120GB SSD / 550W PSU / A320M mobo: $699
Link: https://techfast.com.au/products/april-special-amd-ryzen-5-2…

RX 580 8GB will be Biostar.

Component upgrades are available through the configurator on the site. Website feedback welcomed here or via PM as it is on a new platform. If there are any crazy price bugs we can't honor them so please let me know if you find any. Orders will be immediately refunded if wonky.

  • $1699 (title) or $1799 (description)?

    • $1699 👾

  • So we will be seeing prices go up, which we have according to the deal posted.

    • The eBay 20% uncapped deals probably won't be happening but we'll do our best to keep prices as low as previously. Not always going to be possible but those had to change.

Can we have an option to drop the monitor and keyboard/mouse ?

    • Not at this stage but will look into it for the weekend

      • Thanks, did you have any luck, noticed some things changed, but still no option to drop the keyboard and Monitor

Your system still seems to be quite strong, though you could benefit from picking up an rx 570 or 580 depending on your budget. Unless you feel you really need a new system it seems there is no real reason to upgrade, at least in my opinion. Playing games at 1080p with one of those graphics cards and that CPU should be more than fine. If you still have questions feel free to ask

Beware this seller. I ordered a PC for my girlfriend to use for uni. The system took 6 weeks to arrive. When it arrived it started crashing within the second day of using. It started with playing the Sims, then watching YouTube and then simply sending an email. Assuming it was a driver issue I went and tried numerous driver versions to no avail. I tried to do a fresh OS install only to find that I was provided a boot DVD with a PC with no optical drive and had to stuff around creating a bootable USB to complete the fresh install and then finding that it did nothing anyway. After complaining and citing my warranty they agreed with me that there was a faulty video card and offered to upgrade it. Still waiting for the replacement to test but it doesn’t seem like the systems are adequately quality tested before being sent.

    Just FYI.

One positive I have is that the customer support response was rapid. Just beware that you may be in for a wait if they post a popular deal and then maybe even longer waiting for a replacement part.

Certainly can't disagree about previous waiting times as we were at between 4-6 weeks for a lot. But that is no longer an issue and we won't let it be one again. I would say that contacting us initially may have been a better course of action to get help - as you say our customer service has generally been quite speedy.

Every system is tested and covered by a 1 year warranty and we're here to help. Some issues reveal themselves after a few days and there would be plenty of people to attest to us rectifying issues in a timely manner.

I have and did. There must be a dozen emails backwards and forwards. It doesn't change that I ordered on the 14th of February and now it's the 18th of April and I still don't have a working PC. I have a right and responsibility to my fellow Ozbargainers to share my experience.

        • +1

Would never dispute that right, nor did I about the delay. But I can put our case forward, and also most importantly fix this for you. If you PM me I'm sure I can sort whatever issue remains for you.

@luketechfast: Just going to add my experience in here.
I recently received my techfast system which was caught up in the backlog.
Luke did everything he could to ensure a speedy delivery once I had contacted him, which was a great help.

Unfortunately it did arrive with a faulty graphics card but once I contacted him again he had a new card despatched the same day.
I did expect a big run around being a budget seller (like having to return faulty card first or buy replacement then receive refund once they get the faulty one back etc).

He just sent a new (better) card with a box and return label for the old one.

I couldn't be happier and do recommend techfast to others based on my personal experience.
If you have an issue just contact them, they're very helpful.

  • Are you able to add the monitor to the RX580 to sweeten the deal?

    • For the same price no. Will see if there's any room to move on a set price for AOC 27"

  • Any chance of bringing a deal similar to this back?

    • +1

      Leave it with me.

  • Could you also make a option for 8700k or 8600k desktop with 2080

    • Sure thing. I'll be adding more options as the site grows. 8600k will be 9600k btw

  • +1

Hey Luke, is a revival of the Ryzen 5 + RX 580 deal possible?

    • Not sure we'll hit those prices again mate.

  • Deal is pretty close to what Concorde computers offer on ebay bar the monitor, instead of which they have a keyboard. All up for $1,659.
They are transparent on the parts though a bit more..

  • Luke, any chance to supply 8gb ram 3000Mhz and a mobo similar to B450 models (instead of A320)?

    • We have the B350 (Biostar B45M2) option on all systems. We only offer one RAM option right now.
