Seafoodrice wasn't eligible for free delivery and was refunded immediately. Happened a few months ago and now he comments about it almost every time we post a new offer. My item was mean to deliver to 2075 in NSW which is much nearer than QLD, apparently your free shipping happened after his dodgy action being exposed.
Anyway, if that helps him to be better merchant, still not a bad thing.
Let me clarify, you have not proceeded with refund even you decide not to honor the transaction with additional terms that “it is too costly to deliver”.
I got my refund via PayPal dispute and putting additional effort to prove to PayPal that the merchant took my money without sending out the good. The turnaround time was 3 weeks.
There may have happy customers that can get the deal, not me for sure and I believe there are quite a significant group of customers on Ozbargain complained about the same thing.
I don't know about the details, it was last year and I started working here this January. But really sorry if you had a bad experience, 3 weeks for a refund is unacceptable.

Do you not have photos of the inside of the suitcases? Surely that's more important than how they look externally.

Dont be fooled by the RRP. A quick google search and you can see majority of retailers sell them at around this "sale" price anyway.
If you can find the same cases for the same price could you post?
Their last deal the prices of the cases were better than anything else online.
I looked, only found one retailer selling it at RRP.

Bought this suitcase from this seller several months ago. Arrived on time and customer service was good. I have only used the suitcase once and so far it seems good.
I have had similar bad issues with Luggage Online. They advertise sale items as available, allow purchase and take $ from account, only to cancel and refund days later (5 days in my case). Also, very poor and non-responsive customer service.
Deal looks good, but difficult to find any other sellers selling this and judge value.
