Save space and energy with LED technology

Wow! Compared to what - CRT or maybe ancient Rear-projection television technology?? Is that the old market Kogan is aiming these at?

So up to date! LED TVs were introduced to Oz in 2008!

Lists of features… Strangely they don't say how bad the sound quality is…

  • Never buy from kogan

      Why?

I have this TV for the price it's fantastic

  • How this compares to previous Soniq 55’ TV?

    • I'd imagine it's fairly comparable.

I was in a holiday rental with 4 Kogan TVs. The sound quality on all of them was awful as was any SD TV broadcast. Don't know if name brand TVs do much better upscaling of SD content.

    • Same poor experience with new Kogan in recent Airbnb. Sound was terrible. (Can solve by adding soundbar.)
Have a Samsung 4k at home - no problem with SD - it's what I usually watch.

Get a HiSense instead - also buy Kogan at your peril.

    • Any thing newer than the one I am considering - Hisense 50-inch Series 7 4K ULED ??? Presently priced about <$800.

The HiSense i got was $545 from Appliances Online, also 50" Smart and 4K

  • To be honest I'm not aware of a single new TV where the sound is acceptable without a soundbar or other amplification. The thinner and lighter they make the TVs, the harder it is to overcome the problems with speaker placement and size. I have the Kogan Series 9 MU9500 curved screen and the picture was a vast improvement on my five year old branded TV (which was a vast improvement on my 32" CRT screen, which was a vast improvement on my 26" TV etc.). A friend of mine is replacing her 55" Sony - which was state of the art ten years and $15,000 ago. It will require at least two people to lift it off the wall and if she's lucky she might find someone who'll take it away without charging her. FYI - on special with a Kogan voucher and delivery I got the MU9500 for under $500. Is the curved screen worth it? It cuts down a lot of the glare but it has to be well centred. I look at other people's TVs and I consider I got a bargain.

    • I have the 55" curved aswell and agree with what you are saying.
