  • Pick up WA only

    • Hmm if that's the case I rather pick up LADDA batteries from my local Ikea.

      • or aldi lsd 4pk for 6 bux

        • Aldi LSD's are cheap, but never had one reach the min capacity printed on them. Consider them 2000mAh at best.

LADDA or Turnigy's are good alternatives if you need the higher capacity.

          • @bamzero: The last batch we got from aldi listed 2100mAh on the side.

An extra 300mAh for $3 isn't worth it.

            • @whooah1979: At least they're getting a little more reasonable with the marketing..

I've tried a pack that said 2500mAh, and one that said 2400mAh. The best I got out of any of them was between 2000 and 2100mAh.

Also depends how long they hold their charge and how much of it (though admittedly haven't really tested this)

            • @whooah1979: Capacity is not the selling point of Powerex batteries. They are not even LSD.

For flash lights, ALDI LSDs just suck. They take forever to charge after each flash.

@werty98: Imedions are their LSD range.

@werty98: What is Powerex's selling point? We used to own a few packs and found them to be ordinary. We switched over to HobbyKing Turnigy for value and then to Aldi for both value and convenience.

                • @whooah1979: good batteries, i found some i havent used in years(found just last weekend), (originally bought about 10 years ago) charged capacity was down a fair bit but did a few full cycles on my maha charger and back to the 2300-2400 mah. was impressed.

                • @whooah1979: Low internal resistance, i.e. high drain current. That's why you can find Powerex in almost every camera shop. It is physically hard to build NiMH batteries with low internal resistance and high capacity in such a small volume.

                • @whooah1979: I think they got their rep with photographers. They were one of the earlier brands to put out 2700mAh rechargeables (non LSD) which was a pretty big thing back then. Most other non-LSDs were maxing out around the 2300-2400mAh range if I remember correctly and LSD's were just coming to market but were all under 2000mAh.

  • Gotta admit my Imedions lost capacity and failed long before all my other brands (Eneloop and Turnigy's). They seem ok but there are many heaps better imo. The Turigy's are the best I've ever bought…
