This turned out to be a disaster last time, why can't they just mention which stores are participating rather than it be a mystery.

      • +8

You'd have to spend a long damn time on the phone to try and find a participating store considering the amount of people who didn't have it honoured in the last few deals.

I've emailed the head office after the last debacle (re: 6 inch upgrade to for long). I'm their response is that the stores are independent franchises. That's rubbish, McD is franchise owned but I've never had issue applying any offers advertised by head office. I know I won't but from there out of principle of poor execution of advertising almost like bait advertising. McD has national and local store advertising (e.g. shop a socket or little athletics). Food aside, McD does a better job of building the brand value for it's franchises and Subway seems to do the opposite.

Not available in WA as usual, no app vouchers anymore

    • Surprising, giving the fact Subway opened their first restaurant in WA.

Not specifying locations is a killer

Saw the ad on facebook listing some of the available location. Did OP purposely remove them to get more +ve?

    • How about Broadway

      • Rozelle is pretty close.

    • That's out of more than 1000 stores countrywide? Not much.

It's like they want you to rock up to your local Subway store get turned down and just buy something regardless.. such an ambiguous offer not stating locations on the actual offer. I saw this last week on Facebook and got turned down by 2 stores near me, such a bait.

    • I tried 2 stores as well (this deal last week or week before), they asked me if have coupons to scan, if I dont they cant honor it.

Are the 'foot long' actually 12 inches .. or do they claim it is just their marketing terminology?

and does the dough formula of Australian rolls still contain 'azodicarbonamide' — a chemical that is also found in shoe soles and yoga mats

The onus really should not be on the customer to establish if an offer that they have viewed applies to them.

If advertised on the net, the offer should be available at all stores within any given area or none. I have the feeling that offers like this actually create more unhappy potential customers than they generate in revenue, but the marketing dept. is too disconnected to notice or care.

If stores do mail drop coupons to local areas that's a different story.

  • Thanks OP.

  • Okay, Rang store (270 Racecourse Rd Flemington VIC 3031), store manger said if it is on facebook and if you can show me he would honor it. Went there, showed him deal on face book and listing of his store under it, he said sorry I cant honor it since we are not informed by HO about this deal.So going forward, I wont trust any subway deal and will try to avoid subway just for misleading general public.
