  • Is this the first ever post where the entire Tags field is full?

    • haha, it's not even the first time this long weekend :P

      • Really? I tried those other posts in the description and the tag fields are not yet full. With this post I can't add one single character to the field. Which other post has its tag field filled to the max like this one?

        • +1

I think so, I kept adding product titles until they could take no more. I may have left a few characters over if all I could paste was 'TaoTr'

          • +13

@xev: You guys really need to make a spreadsheet or chart outlining the differences and advantages of each of the Bluetooth Wireless headphones.

I lost track after the first few ones and honestly have no idea how to tell them apart or what each one can do or not do etc.

Might drive sales also might be a good thing to think about.

Just don't leave anything out of it let the user decide.

Some form of cross referencing chart or table would be good for this I reckon.

            • @AlienC: I agree with, I spend so much time looking up Amazon and the TaoTronics site, some model numbers are the same yet their descriptions are so different. On Taotronics it will say bluetooth 5.0 yet on amazon with the same model number it's 4.2. There are so many model numbers, I can appreciate how hard it must be to try and collate all these

          • @xev: Any deals for bh060??

            • @OneIdiot: Yes Mate, the BH060 is currently on sale. Normally $89.99, now $67.49 with Code: JLVXBQFI

              http://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07L5LPSQT

              • +1

@xev: Consider the spreadsheet or chart or something xev I reckon it would not just a financially worthy investment but good for making up future graphics/posters/advertising etc.

Trust me when you take out the thinking involved for the customer it drives sales up quite a bit.

                • @AlienC: Yes, I agree. It looks like there is the ability to have comparison graphs on Amazon, which I would recommend.

There is also additional promotional material that I would like to see on their listings as well.

It's great that they have lot's of choice but with some products people could use more help with choosing.

                  • @xev: Definitely.

Still early days so I am sure they are learning from all of this every day.

Thanks for the effort in bringing us the good information.

  • +5

This feels like another spammy post to me

    • -4

Agreed. Not a having a go at the products listed in the post but I remember watching a video (can't remember if it was a US or AU current affairs) where people put their products on Amazon and they get other people to put good reviews in order to get the boost the products profile.

      • +11

I'll admit it.. I negged both of you. I bought the BH-040 over ear headphones a few months ago and they've been awesome. I think this is also the lowest price they've been advertised for which is great considering my wife just asked for a her own. I agree that spam posts should be stamped out, but just because you know nothing about the brand/product, doesn't mean it's rubbish…

        • +5

While I quite appreciate my BH040s, I'm not a huge fan of the title. If the headphones were the main thing in the title, instead of a few brands from $7.99 (for a facial trimmer, not mentioned and not the item linked to. It was the same with the lamp last time), I would be more inclined to like the deal.

          • +1

@Miss B: I guess my point is, maybe someone out there wants a facial trimmer.. I don't, however it always feels like there's a drop in the number of deals over a long weekend so I welcome posts like this. Don't like it, keep scrolling.. yeah they've posted a few times this long weekend, but it annoys the shit out of me to open a post to look if there are items I'd be interested in.. I'd personally prefer to scroll. But that's just me.

            • +4

@ChmpgneTasteBeerBdgt: If that's their main deal, great they can link to that. But from $7.99 and they're linking to $50 headphones is somewhat misleading. My issue isn't with the rest of the post. Alternatively, make the headphones the main deal + other great deals or whatever.

  • +2

any deals on the usb c dock

    • I don't have a code for any right now but I spoke to the SunValley Rep this morning and hope to early next week, maybe on Sunday.

  • anyone have any experience with the hose?

    • +1

I have had the hose for several months now and its been excellent. So much easier to use than a conventional hose as it doesn't kink or get tangled.

    • Same experience as adr8. Bought one for my husband when it was last on sale, he says it is the best gift I have ever given him, and I give great gifts! :)
Very light weight compared to our old hose but strong, like the brass fittings. Water pressure extends it when you turn on the tap, then it contracts when tap is turned off and you use the water remaining in hose. Just bought another one for my Dad.

    • +1

I would grab them but my mates are coming over

      Bro's before Hose :)

      • -1

bit of a lame joke but ok

  • +2

My SunValley was itchy due to Anjouing my TaoTronics, so I RAVPowered up my Sable and then had a sore VAVA & HooToo :(

  • +1

hey @xev is the tt-bh22 being discontinued? Hasn't been discounted in this Easter sale. I was looking to purchase them (bh-060's have received mixed reviews online which is deterring me from those)

If you've used both, how do they compare? Are the 060's really that 'bad' sound quality wise as some of these youtube reviews suggest??

    Cheers!

    • +1

Just purchased the bh060's, found one review that really criticises sound but found two or so that say they're fine for work etc for the non - audiophile. Hope they turn out alright now.

      • Let me know how you find them. I'm defs not an audiophile, I'll mainly be using them on the bus for music. Hopefully the sound quality and ANC are good enough.

        • +1

Just returned my bh060 - terrible sound almost non-existing treble. The previous negative review was spot on. Mine went for a refund request straight away as well. I would stay clear of it in any future sales.
Btw, I am no audiophile either.

  • +1

I found the NC headphones reviews misleading. First they combine 3 or more different models; except the ones with a photo, you can't match review and product!

  • just a question - when will these specials end?

  • +1

Anyone got any idea if any of the TT headphones are 'smaller'??.. my daughter wants a pair after trying my 22's but they're way to big for her!

  • Bought the gloves, hoping they'll work well as wheelchair gloves. Thanks OP

  • @xev Any chance on a discount for the wireless active noise cancelling earphones? Think the model is TT-BH042-CR.

    • Hi Mate, the BH042 is currently on sale, Normally $45.99 Now $32.99 with Code: S3W9VXVA

      https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07GRRQFVT

      • Are the images wrong for that link (TT-BH042), seems like the $45.99 doesn't have a neckband, but the $79.99 does?

  • I got the noise cancelling earphones in the last sale and was amazed at the sound quality so I got the Bluetooth ones without the noise cancelling so I would be cord free and I prefer them.
Much better for workouts and mowing the lawn without the cord in the way.I'll save noise cancelling for flying.

  • Hey, great deals! Any on a Bluetooth noise cancelling headset? Need something with a mic as well.

  • @xev Do you have a code for TT-BH052? Bought it the last time for my eldest son and it's been amazing. Now the younger one wants one too. Tx

    • +3

The code 5877HYDF from the previous deal will bring down the price by 25%.

  • Looked through the headphone models, compared prices, features, design, etc. and determined that the TaoTronics TT-BH040 was best for my partner. :)

    Ordered, thanks!

    • +1

Edit: Cancelled the order. Saw that the TT-BH-060's were on sale from another post on OzB so I cancelled this order and placed an order for those.

According to a couple of reviewers they said the sound quality was better on the 60's compared with the 40's.

      • +1

For those wondering, my TT-BH060's arrived today… Went home to test during lunch break so didn't have a lot of time to test, but this is what I have found so far:

Had it dual paired with my Samsung Galaxy S10 against my Sony WH-1000MX3 and (obviously) the Sony's were better, but the electronic music I was listening to it wasn't that much better (from YouTube Music at highest quality setting).

Sound was good, bass was good, noise cancelling was okay. A bit on the heavier side, but overall quality and packaging seem really good, especially for the price.

  • Bought some TaoTronics equipment in Akihabara's Bic Camera last week labelled with Sunvalley Japan. It's good stuff.

  • Can anyone vouch for the VAVA dash cams?

  • Bought bh060 the other day, can only pair to one (1st) device and sticks with it, cant pair to other devices (I'm not talking simultanously). Tried to unpair that 1st device but no success.
There is also "cracking" sound when you're walking/stepping stairs.
Ended return and got refund which is good post sales from Amazon/seller
Your exp may vary but I think Im just unlucky got defected item
Overall its a good pair though, good built, sounds and ANC work ok (not great as bose/sony of course)

    • On the bh-040, I get these "cracking" sounds during bus rides when it goes over bumps. Did support mention it as a defect or is it a natural occurrence?

      • Got zero response from manufacture support (I think the website is US based but you know the brand is Chinese).
Great support from seller via Amazon AU, got refund. I think mine was unluckly just a defect item as the sound is consistent

  • The prices seem to have reverted

  • I have the Tao Tronics ANC cans, TT-BH040, and they're really good for the price. In fact, I also have the Parrot Zik 2.0 which costs 3 times the price and the TT cans is easily comparable to the Parrot and only things the Parrot have going for it are the Parrot App and the sleek touch controls but no ANC.

Sounds about the same, the TT has better connectivity than my Parrot. Parrot have more drop-outs. Both are quick to connect/pair up.

The ANC on this is medium, serviceable for low-med noises, but not so good for loud-very loud noises. I'm not an expert in this area though.

Don't buy their true wireless earbuds, not listed here, though as they suck, no base at all.

  • +2

I just ordered the 060's. There are some conflicting reviews, so I'll just have to see how I go. Will be using them on a flight next week, so I'll leave a review to tell you how they worked out.

  • Any deal for TT-BA09?

  • It looks like the 28s are out of stock from Sunvalley as well.
@Xev, is there any chance you could ask them to restock these and the 046's?
