  • Yikes - thats a lot of money (Chaos Rings / Infinity Blade) for iApps Are of those worth it does anyone have any personal experience?

    • +1

These apps rarely ever go on sale, especially for this price so I think it's a great deal personally but have yet to try them. They have both gotten great reviews though.

Idk about the rest, but Infinity blade is supposedly an amazing game, with some of the best graphics anything you'll see on an iDevice. I know I'm getting it.

    • I paid the full price for these games!

    • Chaos Rings is an awesome game, equally as good as any decent PSP RPG game which you'd pay ~$50+ for. Much more depth & story than your traditional simple iTouch RPG

    • I've played and clocked Chaos Rings and Infinity Blade during last summer. Definitely well worth the money

  • Im going to try infinity blade

i think iphone and ipad games need to have multiplayer to make it a more interesting experiance.
"sort of like fruit ninja but different" sounds awesome already

    • Infinity Blade has a multiplayer arena where you can battle other people online.

      • yup since the last update.
        im definately getting it

Might try Chaos Rings at that price - looks like it's the lowest it's ever been - http://appshopper.com/games/chaos-rings.
Infinity Blade is great showcase app with jaw dropping graphics but not a lot of replay value. Great time waster on short commutes though.

  • been waiting for Chaos Rings to drop for a while now… can't wait!

  • I have infinity blade, got bored with it rather quickly I have to say, seemed repetitive to me.

    • Very good 3D graphics.. does feel repetitive after a while.

  • I will give Chaos Rings a try (but gotta download it tonight when back home since it is 274MB. Ouch!).
It should be a good game (trust in quality work from Square Enix).

  • Infinity Blade ($3.99 down from $7.99)
Says 2.99 on the itunes page, i love being in Australia!

Quite liked Infinity Blade (bought it upon release) but I picked up Chaos Rings last night, it's pretty awful. You run about 15 metres, then it has to load a new screen. Also, and this is a genuine question, is every Square Enix game basically FF7 with new skins? Same combat, same running around, same silly dialogue.

      "Code Red: Civvie onto us."

    • I completely agree with you, but I also say a lot of games on the app store are the same with different images.

All those "social games" are the same with some text/image changes.

  • If you want to try infinity blade for free check out Epic Citadel, uses the same technology and is very impressive, althogh the free epic Citadel does not allow game play and differs from infinity blades scenery.

    • so its nothing like it then? lol

      • It was intended as a demo of the new technology developed by epic, which infinity blade uses, and should give a good idea of what to expect from infinity blade.

  • is it hard to play infinity blade on an ipad?

    • Shouldn't be, its just swiping & tapping for fighting & walking is pointnclick style. You could play it with the iPad resting on a desk

  • pretty cool logo for infinity blade

  • pocket dinosaurs is useless. even though it costed money for the app you still need to pay for credits to actually play the levels, and $1.19 only gets you enough points to unlock 3 levels. Each time you play through a level you only get around 2-3 coins. Don't bother downloading it.
