  • I can see 50% cashback. It used to say up to, so it certainly looks like it applies to everyone. However, i am confused by the reference to all tracking at existing customer rates until validation.
Where did you find the reference to a $4 cap?

    • Click on "Cashback details" -

      Capped at $4.00 Cashback

      • So if i spent $100, i will get $4 cash back only? Interesting, just personally felt it will be sorry for people who does not read the term n conditions.

        • Is it $4 back, or 50% back on up to $4?

          • +2

@CacheHunter: If u spent $10, u'll get $4 back instead of $5. If u spent $20, u'll get $4back too instead of $10. So cashback capped at $4 wont go higher.

        • i would think that most ppl would ordinarily order one or two coffees a day and would fall within the $4

  • Web site now also says that it's just today

    • Where does it say this?

      • Okay, I got the email! Ends 11:59 pm today.

  • What the hell is hey you

    • Was ‘beat the q’, online coffee / cafe food ordering then pickup

    • if you dont know, then you're missing out on good deals

      • You mean, I'm not wasting money.

        • if you know what you're doing.. you don't need to spend 1 cent.

    • If you're new, use a promo code when joining for $10. I used NOQ10

  • +1

Does it work multiple times per user?

    • +1

From last time, seems like multiple timers per user, within the period.

    • Yes it's multiple uses.

      • So $4 capped for EACH use, right?

        • Confirmed it’s each as I received tracked cashbacks totally >$4

  • +1

Just wondering if this applies to multiple orders?

Or did it mean you can make as many orders within today as you like but the total cashback you can get in the end is still $4?

    • I’m wondering if the $4 cap is per user, or per transaction.

    • Confirming this applies to multiple orders.

      • Awesome! 😁

  • So unless your purchase is $8 or less you won't get 50% off

  • It's a coffee app people, I don't know why so many seem to feel entitled to having half their lunches paid for.

    • +2

Because they helped the economy by buying the last 10 cheap TV deals. Can't eat TVs.

    • Seems to be mostly not a coffee app: https://heyyou.com.au/cuisines

    • Plenty of cafes offering lunch through the app too. I'm sure the app creators don't want to limit themselves to coffee and nothing but.

    • @JohnHowardsEyebrows: Its not only for coffee, you can order anything from the restaurants & cafes available on Hey You.

      • I know that. But it's primarily a coffee app. Again, I don't know why so many think giving out half price coffee means they are obliged to give half price lunch, too.

        • Come on Johnny, you gave us the biggest tax cuts in history. Half price lunch is half of a free lunch. Stop being tight!

          • @netjock: The eyebrows don't pander to middle Australia nearly as much as the head to which they are attached.

BTW: 50% off Hey You lunch today 11:30-2:30 today.

Will you now all stop whinging? :)

            • +1

@JohnHowardsEyebrows: I am with you but I just have great laughs at people. Spend to save it seems for most.

          • +1

@netjock: And he sold off lots off public assets/privatisation meaning we have no income generating assets and are paying more for electricity and tolls etc.

  • +1

I think from previous deals, cashback isn't provided if I use free credit to redeem? So what happens if I have a little Hey You Balance and pay with partial credit card, partial balance? Does that count?

    • From last time:

      Store Repgotyourback on 18/04/2019 - 10:38
If your balance consists of credit from a code, no. If your balance is from a manual top up, yes.

      Cashback is not qualified for:

Promo codes or voucher codes not approved by ShopBack
A coupon approved means a coupon listed on the respective store page

      • So… if I have even $0.01 of credit, the whole thing is invalidated? What if I have credit from others using my referral code? They show up as top-ups anyway so maybe the app can't even tell the difference.

        • If the $0.01 credit is from applying promo codes or referral offers, then Hey You will invalidate the order. Top ups funded from a payment source (PayPal/card) would be okay.

  • My cashback never validates with Hey You. Logged a case for the last cashback with Shopback.

    • Has been resolved by Shopback

Try as I might, this seems hardly usable in Brisbane.

    • I'm currently super frustrated trying to order a burger from Red Hook, as the vendor is currently "offline"…

      • Ditto. I get sporadic "offline" messages with vendors.

I am not sure whether this is due to
        1) a system error
        2) the vendor is now a former Hey You vendor or
        3) Hey You is trying to generate demand for new vendors, whom they wish to woo into joining their program.

If 2 or 3, this would mean Hey You is pretending they have more substantial scale/presence.

I hope it's only an app error but surely it wouldn't go unnoticed for a period of weeks.

        • I would complain on Facebook.

The irony is that so few people use Hey You that there aren't enough people to create an atmosphere of dissatisfaction with the app.

    • Death Star Canteen does great burgers for $10. I just used this offer there and I'm stoked with my $6 burg.

  • Cool - now I can finally justify paying $ 8 for a small cappucino at my local cafe.

    • +1

why so cheap, spoil yourself and get almond milk…

  • If I have a free loyalty coffee, but I also order other things, am I still eligible for cashback? Eg order is $8 but I paid $4 due to free coffee, do I still get my $2 cashback? Or is the whole order invalidated

    • The whole order would be invalidated, so it would be best to order separately.

  • Just a heads up there is a full 50% deal happening in app for lunch today - 11:30 to 2:30 It may be TARGETED though.

Check your emails if you are a Hey You member, it might be there….

    • There’s 30% off around me (Barangaroo) so guess it depends on the area

Cash back will NOT be tracked as last time the 10% on Ebay and rep will not care about you

Also missing track need 75 days to investigation which means you will not get the cash back

PS:even you send them Email there will NO REPLY at all

    • +3

      Hi yuisakas,

Heaps of people have had their orders tracked fine, and if you're facing issues with tracking on multiple occasions it may mean it's something on your end that's causing it not to track (browser settings, adblockers etc).

The only correspondence we had from you here is that your order had not tracked but we have requested to wait up to 7 days first because eBay transactional data doesn't come in quickly.

Just for clarity, missing cashback does not take 75 days - it takes up to 35 days for investigation for all stores, with the exception Expedia which takes up to 75 days.

Emails are definitely responded to - do you need me to follow up? If so, please PM me your email address and I can check on your ticket.

      • PMED,PLEASE REPLY ME THANKS

        • +1

Thanks. After checking our system the only record of contact you've made with the email supplied is a missing cashback form submission and not an email contact.

The order is still pending investigation so please hang in there a little longer. Once the investigation has concluded I'll send you a message.

I've used these guys for ages and never had an issue… if it doesn't track it's most likely your end - it gets quite technical (e.g. Clicking through tracking before you buy or add to cart)..

      • Not really worth all the hassle for $4 IMO but hey this is OZB!

        • I feel like there this no hassle at all for ~50% my lunch

          • @dsar: 50% off your lunch up to a value of $4 back and disable your ad blocker and follow about 10 rules no other coupons etc etc
Unless you are mistakenly referring to the deal that gets you an actual 50% off uncapped, which is targeted (and IS actually a good deal)

            • +1

@John Dough: It's as simple as opening Shopback, selecting hey you and order as usual via hey you. It's pretty much one more step.

  • Sorry, please delete this comment. I have now received an email from shop back.

  • Thanks! Nutella Taiyaki sundae 50% off!

  • I now can't open the shopback app on Android.. Stuck on loading screen. Tried remove cache, data reinstall.. Are they getting DoS?

    • It works okay for us - can you try again and let us know if you're experiencing issues still?

      • +1

After 5-10 minutes of retrying, I eventually was able to login. The website wasn't responsive at this time as well. Hopefully this won't affect the tracking.

        • I have received tracking for the one ordered ~5:30pm. Tracking was received 2 hrs later. I am still waiting for the tracking for another order ~12:30pm.

  • am I the only one that does not understand how this works? whats this hey you ap is that a shop? ???

    • It's like Deliveroo or Uber Eats, except no delivery. You order and pick up your meal in a few mins.

  • Thanks mine tracked.
Got a large cappuccino and 1 piece of toast for half price after cashback
