Spotted this at Australia Post. Seems like a good deal for a Chromecast. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think it’s gen 2?

Reminds me of the good ol' days when I bought this by paying $8 when full price was $58 and you were able to stack two $25 promo codes from theGoodGuys that were received when registering to their marketing messages.
Those $25 codes were awesome!

what's the usage between mini and chromecast ?
You ask the Mini to start playing something on the Chromecast - "Hey Google, play me that song by that guy that I like on the Chromecast" and it'll turn on Youtube on the Chromecast and play that song by the guy that you like, and you didn't even have to use your hands.
I went into my local post office and they didn't have any. The lady check stock levels online and there was 3 in Sydney (St Marys and Richmond) and probably another 15 or son scattered around the country. I remember her saying Dickson and Mitchell which I think are in the ACT. Good luck :)

Tried my local. They have it in a case with a $59 price tag (still a 2nd gen). When I asked about it, they said $59 is what it scans at and someone else from OzBargain had already asked about it. Girl behind the counter said the $30 price tags 'must be from a previous sale.'

No such thing as gen4, Chromecast Ultra is a different product.

Yeah they were claiming the Gen 2 was supposed to be that price too. Saw no point arguing with the worker behind the counter as technically I didn't have a leg to stand on given it's got the $59 price tag and that's what they claim it scans at.

Thanks for the post OP, called Aus Post, none left in NSW and very limited stock (less than 5) in other states. Would suggest calling up Aus Post so they can tell you if there is any in your local stores. Goodluck!

The deal was posted on 29 April.
