It is stated most will probably be MSI with Galax being a possibility, so it is not 100% MSI. You might have the luck, but I prefer to calculate based on my (bad) luck.

$1299 after discount is because of the eBay special. The list price is $1444. If you want to assume the seller is absorbing the discount cost, you are entitled to do so. The whole deal is based on RTX 2080 + the Ryzen R5 2600 CPU. The rest are just nice throw in so it becomes a full PC. Basically, are you really in the market for RTX 2080? Or, because this appears to be a good deal you changed your graphics card target to RTX 2080? Honestly, RTX 2070 or RTX 2080Ti is a smarter choice.

Anyway, if RTX 2080 + the Ryzen R5 2600 CPU are exactly what you want right now, you cannot beat this offer elsewhere in Australia.

          • @netsurfer: I’m interested in getting an RTX 2080 and an Intel CPU, haven’t decided which yet. Since this system is the same price as a 2080 + $170 to have everything else included, I thought I would get this to give me a full PC until I can purchase the Intel board and CPU separately, as the Intel CPU will be at least $500+ for the ones I’m looking at, so this will let me at least start playing until I’m able to set aside the money for my ideal setup. Would prefer not to go with Ryzen but can’t see any better deal currently around this price point.

  • Can we get more B350M upgrades?

  • Hi, I have a quick question and trying to decide if I need this or not.
I currently run a 6600k and a 1070( Great ram and mb but cant remember models). Is this a huge upgrade? I play mainly overwatch and stuck into two point hospital at the mom.

    • Depends on which of the PC's you're thinking of upgrading to, as well as which CPU your 6600k is. Honestly I think you have a decent setup as it is, but this 2080 build would indeed be a huge upgrade in terms of raw performance, but in terms of upgradability and other specs, including case, motherboard, RAM, storage etc, it'd be a straight downgrade. Worth getting to swap the GPU and add the SSD maybe?

    • IMO don't upgrade. Especially if you only have a 1080p monitor and play mainly Overwatch. You're good until you want a higher resolution like 4k.

  • Hey Luke

Are you guys part of the new amd rewards promotion?

    https://www.amd.com/en/gaming/game-bundle#GAME-BUNDLE-OFFERS

    • Not yet

      • I bought a pc last week, 2600 and 580, will I be sent a code for redemption?

        Cheers

  • how would people compare this

    Ryzen 3 2300X / GTX 1660 / 8GB DDR4 / 120GB SSD / 550W PSU / A320M

    to a previous deal of

    Ryzen 5 2600 / RX 580 8GB / 8GB DDR4 2400MHz RAM / 120GB SSD / 550W PSU / Leaper Pro RGB Case

I know both will run the games that I'm playing eg cs, dota etc, but just in terms of money value and I guess so the need of not needing to upgrade too soon.

    Thank you!

    • GPU is generally a lot easier to upgrade later on than a CPU is, and the RX 580 is no slouch, id pick the second (actually, i did pick the second!)

  • Ordered the core i5 9400f version of this with the 1660ti upgrade. It arrived in about a week which i was very happy about because I expected it'd be a few more days till it would arrive. The cable management was great and didn't have any unnecessary cables laying around inside the case and the GPU i got was a gigabyte brand which was nice. I plugged it in a played a few games for 30 minutes and everything seems to be running fine so far and I hope it stays that way for a few years. I definitely recommend Techfast to anyone looking for cheaper high-end gaming PCs. Thanks Luke.

    • Great stuff!

  • Can I ask for a specific brand of graphics card with the 2080 deal instead of playing the lottery with the 5 brands you use?

Happy to wait longer if you don't have the brand I want in stock.

FYI I want the MSI branded one.

We can try, but can't guarantee. I can 100% honestly say we have both MSI and Galax in stock right now, and are getting towards the end of the current MSI allocation so will be moving to Galax for a while, but if you buy and leave a note at checkout, we will do our best, and refund if not possible.

  • Has anyone else got their system from this sale yet?
