Cheap and Cheerful Mechanical Keyboard for Work

Does anyone have any recommendations for mechanical keyboards(including number pad)? I've seen quite a few "cheap" ones on amazon around the $60 mark.
Currently using an old logitech g510 membrane keyboard and have a spare mechanical keyboard but don't want anything to happen to it at work.

Currently typing this on a Ajazz Robocop w/Brown switches

It's quiet enough nobody has commented on it. Replaced some caps and it's nice and vibrant.

You could probably find other Brown switch 110 key on Aliexpress which are cheaper. Don't even have the colour turned on anymore.

    • Thanks for the recommendation. Looks like a winner.
That said I'm tempted by the look of this one

      • That's giving me IBM Model M vibes I love it!

  • By 'anything to happen to it at work', do you mean coworkers swapping keys around? Really fun office prank.

    • I was mainly thinking of the whole thing getting nicked. Not really worried about the keys getting swapped, I can touch type to a decent degree and my colleagues aren't the techiest bunch so won't even know what a mechanical keyboard is.

  • I got an i-rocks K65M with cherry browns from Mwave for about $80 delivered although they don't have this one anymore and looks to be replaced by this

This doesn't have cherry switches though but might be a good entry? For a bit more you can get the cherry board:

Mwave do have quite a range so might be worth looking at some of the others they have?

  • Thank you for this question. I have the same request and was looking to posting the question.

  • Got this from a previous deal and currently using it at work.

I liked how it is wireless, has brown switches, has backlight and the numpad is also very important.

  • I just received my $39 Kogan mechanical keyboard for work and so far it's been great. I was going to recommend it to you but they are now $99. It's good but there are a lot of others out there for less than $100.

    • My friend got one of these, it's his first mechanical keyboard and he lasted a week and got rid of it. I've had a Kogan keyboard with Cherry MX Brown keys for 3.5yrs now at work, and it's been awesome. Brown seems to be a good one for offices, it's not loud enough that people around me have complained.

  • have a look at aliexpress.

  • i use a cherry mx blue keeb at work and cherry mx green at home.
no one really minds the noise, most people say its ASMR and enjoy it, i work with mostly people under 40 though
