doesn't seem like it comes in a pair for that price?

    • +5

      Why do you kneed 2.

      • +18

just highlighting the fact.in case Ozbargainers thought they are buying a pair

      • +10

Well actually a lot of people requiring knee support for running sports or weight lifting actually need two.

        • People kneecapped by mafia types will need two, unless the mafia guy was in a hurry or something.

        • +1

actually a lot of people requiring knee support

Nobody without an injury requires one of these.

Supports like these act like a caste removing the need for the muscles to work. Long term use is not recommended.

          • @Diji1: Thanks Dr Diji

          • @Diji1: Would be interested to hear more about this.
I know a lot of badminton players (myself included) wear these to help, is it doing more harm than good?

            • +1

@MyEducation: These aren't very thick so they should be fine to wear all the time. They should be good for the purpose of keeping your knees warm and having them on just provides a bit of proprioceptive feedback which is also a bonus.

Neoprene knee sleeves on the other hand are a lot thicker and also provide some stability as well as the two points mentioned above. However these would be good for exercises like squatting, leg pressing variants and weightlifting in general. While IMO I don't think wearing them all the time for leg training would do more harm than good, it is not a bad thing to take a break from them intermittently. It would be good to train without them occasionally.

Here is a link to a pair of knee sleeves for your reference: https://www.citystrength.com.au/collections/knee-sleeves/pro…

    • +1

Get to physio mate and learn how to use massage roller, these are for support, but not for heal.

Basically this and the SABLE which sell for $9+ here on OZB are no different.
My experience with the SABLE was not good due to them slipping off constantly while running / jogging. However I have now been using the ELASTOPLAST adjustable strap knee support which lock in place tightly and don't slip off !

    • Showing $4.18 for me, even better. But no good for all the Addidas 'Lads' won't match their bum bags

Sable sells a pair for $10 often on Amazon AU, better deal for same thing
My experience with Sable is very good, better than many pairs of all sorts by a lot. Never roll up or down after intense sports for hours. I think correct size is very important.

    • No three shtripes mate, no deal mate.

  • how would these compare to other recent deals like this
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/454060

    • I’ll let you know! I got the sable ones last time and found them pretty good. Wear them a few times a week for tennis and they’ve held up fine.ie the elastic is still as strong as new. My routine is to leave them on after playing and then fill them with ice cubes for the drive home. ( my club has a good ice machine)

  • On feet all day?
