            @spriggan43: There are black joycons, but they are for developers only (they have not been released for retail purchase).

            AFAIK, you can sign up and purchase a dev kit…although, I believe that costs somewhere in the multiple thousands of dollars, so not a very cost effective method to acquire black joycons!

            Better off reshelling a pair yourself (or even painting). :)

    Reviews on the grey joy con seem a little suss… "Low quality plastic, the one that was with nintendo was way better." or "very happy with this purchase, perfect joy-cons and at a smaller price. Thank you!" seem like they could be fakes.

      Wouldn't that be reviews for the product itself and not the seller? Pretty sure Amazon reviews don't take the seller into accounts, unless it's their own product listing. But this is a multi seller listing so they should all be selling the same thing.

    Not trying to discourage peeps from buying this, or the Pro Controller in general, but if you're just after a more traditional controller for the Switch and don't wanna deal with third party stuff, check out the Mayflash / 8bitdo adapters for it. They let you hook up a PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, and so on, controller to play Switch with.

    I've even gone as far as to plug in an Xbox 360 Guitar Hero II USB guitar into the Switch through it and, it plays as shitty as you'd expect, but it plays nonetheless. Those adapters are like 20 odd bucks anywhere, by the way.

      Good call. I got 8bitdo adapter for Switch so I can reuse my Wii U Pro controller. Nintendo could probably make the Switch compatible with that controller without much fuss if they wanted to
