FYI, mygroceries.com.au - the coles online catalogue is out now (actually from tues arvo). You may want to put it up at the same time as the woolies catelogue so ozbargains and look at both before shopping at either/both. They have improved by leaps and bounds.

Even though it doesn't become active until thursday we can view it before/at the same time as woolies for better comparison purposes. A simple example: both have peanut butter on special but coles has kraft brand (vs woolies house brand) and it is cheaper than woolies too. and i am sure they both have better deals than each other for different items.

of interest: coles now has outright advertising for different brands - interesting…

it's a point of difference against wow, targeted at both suppliers and customers who seek brands over private labels, shifting the war away from price towards loyalty :)

    • Wow, thanks for the headsup - I didn't realise they're available from Tuesday afternoons now instead of Wednesday nights. MyGroceries, I agree it would be great to put up both at the same time if it's possible. Easy to compare, and also might reduce the number of double posts about the same catalogue from other ozbargainers who mention just one or two deals.

And hm, I noticed the ads too… I think they've put up those recipe-style ads before, but not outright ones mentioning new flavours. Well it's distracting enough that it's just yet another reason why I prefer to look at specials sorted on OzBargain :) Stocking up on Annalisa beans and tomatoes this week, I seem to go through those diced tomatoes in the blink of an eye

      • Yep, they started making it available on Tuesdays shortly after Woolies changed their weekly offers start date to Wednesday.

At my local Coles, the following week's offers will actually be already available on Wednesdays. In other words, if you go in on Wednesdays, you get both previous week and following week offers in store.
