  • can anyone comment on how Acer VG271UP 27" compare to this? from spec sheet it looks very similar and obviously cheaper without the G-Sync tag

      From what I can see it's literally FreeSync vs G-Sync. If you've got an NVIDIA graphics card, what that boils down to is that the FreeSync screens are able to do variable refresh rate to some degree but are not fully supported.
      G-Sync monitors are rated for 1Hz-144Hz (or whatever the maximum capable is), FreeSync is usually a narrow range. This AMD spreadsheet lists the supported ranges, I think the one you are referring to is 48Hz-144Hz.
