Saw on the app there's a promotion coming up with $4.99 lunch at over 50+ location Syd/Melb from 13-24th May 11:30am to 2:30pm.

However to unlock this offer you need to "refer a friend who then has to place an order".

More hoops to jump through compared to previous offers, but it lasts for 2 weeks if unlocked.

** Terms and conditions apply. Offer is valid on select dishes only (while daily stocks last). Offer valid from 13-24 May 2019 at select Sydney & Melbourne venues Mon-Fri from 11:30AM to 2:30PM only. Limit of 5 Mates' Rates lunches per person. Existing users must refer a mate who places a successful order to unlock the offer. New users are defined as users who have joined Hey You on or after 1 April 2019. Cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions. Offering may differ from images. Discounts appear on the checkout screen.

    Ritual had a similar offer previously where you had to unlock it for $1 meals.

  Signed up the other day for a deal from OzB “20% off all week” for new members. Received confirmation email. Hey You failed to honor. Said deal had expired. Denied they had even sent the email despite being provided with a copy. Beware they are a company that can not be trusted.

  MealPal is the worst for referral rewards. They promised to send me and my friend Coles gift card, but it never comes, and my friend keep asking where is the gift cards and thought that I am keeping both gift cards myself.

  They obviously failed to use a lawyer to draft the terms and conditions because it doesn't say if the sign up and/or the order has to take place between those dates or whether the referrer must also be a new user (ie signed up after April 1).

    I'm an existing user (before April 1) and got this email, so I would think that the referrer doesn't have to be a new user (that is left unspecified after all).

  Got the mates rates lunch today. I ordered chicken rice and I swear it tasted like fish rice. Never again mates rates.
