Was looking for a carry on suitcase and was looking at the Samsonite Cosmolite range. Stumbled across this sale, which happens once or twice a year at department stores and the prices are better than even eBay.

I'm not sure when the sale ends, I couldn't see anything mentioned on the sale section.

Edit: Just noticed bagworld.com.au do a 5% price beat of you don't wanna take up the 8% cashback (you'll be supporting a small business and they do free shipping. I think I'll be going this route)

Edit: Seems to be some misunderstanding, just to clarify, as per title, it is 50% off for SUITCASES. There are lower discounts for other items, like duffels and backpacks, but they can be found cheaper elsewhere, therefore not mentioned.

        It looks like its a physical card which requires posting which says up to 7 days so probs too late. I'll be getting it anyway just to see how long it takes and might report back.

          Yeah looks like you'll get the gift cards in the mail but the bonus cards as e-gift cards. Those may appear right away, but it can't really be "stacked" with this deal unless you see yourself using the physical gift cards soon once you receive them because they're 3 month validity.

        Yes. I made it very clear by saying suitcases in title. I don't know why people confuse duffels and backpacks to suitcases.

        Those items aren't cheapest, therefore not worth a mention at all in title or deal. I'm gonna edit the post to double clarify.

    Did a couple of quick price comparisons with Bagworld, and this deal works out to be about 20% cheaper with cashback taken into consideration and the Bagworld price beat for the couple random ones that I chose.

    Some are still cheaper at Bagworld eg Theoni 55cm spinner so definitely price compare.

    Having travelled to countries where opening luggages by airport staff whilst in transit are a common thing, I since switched to clamp style luggages. Most of the items being sold here are zipper based and are apparently super easy to pry open with just a pen. I often wonder why zipper luggages are still a thing here.

      I usually try and find the lightest luggage I can find within my budget and they're usually all zippered. Never given it too much thought but you make very valid points on security of not only contents inside, but also dodgy people being able to pry open your bag and smuggle contraband in a worst case scenario, be the next Chapelle Corby.

      Always get a suitcase with double lock (i.e. one of those with a built-in lock and also allow you to put an additional padlock on)

      The padlock is useful because the zipper tags can sometimes get broken/ snapped off in transit.

      The built-in lock on the other hand makes it harder for someone who pry open a zipper with a pen to close it back up again (to avoid detection). That way, hopefully, criminals are more likely to open an easier target than my bag.

    Thanks! I went in and bought a samsonite suitcase today. Myer also have a $10 bonus when you purchase a $100 gift card, so I technically got a bonus 10% discount on top after the 50% off. Been wanting one for a while and heading to Japan on Tuesday so it came at a real good time!

    I made an order last night at 50% off. The order was accepted, then it was cancelled this morning. Now the luggage is 40% off. It's there anything I can do? This seems unreasonable.

      Call and let them know if there is any chance that they would honour the deal. be casual and polite and there is a chance that they might follow through depending on their mood. That's what I did for some dunlopilo that I bought from them.

        I always have cookies turned on and no issues with clicking whatsoever, because I have been successfully using Cash Rewards for both smaller and bigger transactions for quite some time now and have also used ShopBack twice before successfully, but of course for way too smaller transactions.
